Sorry this was all over the place. I was a little flustered, but I hope this helped even just one person out there. You are NOT ALONE! You have everything to live for, even if it doesnt seem like it at the time. I love and appreciate all of you. And lets make this comment section a welcoming and safe place
@@MidasTouch2007KMIGAccount hey, im really sorry if this sound mean and im sorry you went through all that but please don’t make this a competition of “who has the most trauma” cause it can seem really disrespectful, again im really sorry if this comes off rudely
@@al3s_qqz26 it isn’t rude it is his/her way of telling someone their problems Even he /she probably had a lot of courage to type that In a way it’s helping others too - it feels like we are not the only one who been through all this and we all at least one person in life to share something
I have found that it's usually the one's who are comedians/funny because they like to make others laugh and smile. There is just this comfort in knowing you have made someone happy. Also cause they know what it's like to be sad pretty much all the time so if they can make someone else laugh especially someone who copes with mental health problems then they feel that slightly bit better.
I am so thankful that she is willing to share this bc I am so scared to show my depression bc no one I know has gone through this and it’s hard acting like there is nothing wrong
Hey, Kris! You probably won't see this comment because this video was posted two years ago. I feel as I am speaking for your 60 million+ combined followers when saying that we all appreciate the fact that you have been able to share this with us as I understand it takes a LOT of courage and bravery, we are sorry for what you've gone through, it's okay to cry, and that we all love you and will forever support you. As always, keep up the excellent work!
No one, no gender, no race, no one at all deserves the treatment she got, and it's nice to see that she is okay for now. Whoever did that to her, politely freak off, I hope they are in jail and I hope she was the only victim from that person.
“I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy. Because they know what it’s like to feel absolutely worthless. And they don’t want anyone else to feel like that” - Robin Williams
Thank you I think it's true because if you watch jaiden animations video she explained how she "didn't have a reason" to be here but she wanted to help people so she kept going
@@lilygrace5888 Kris has also mentioned a few times how Robin Williams is one of her biggest inspirations. He has a very similar mindset. You never could tell the demons he battled because he always smiled and hid his pain behind his characters. I think he has had a large influence on many people and for positive reasons despite him living through tragedy. ❤️
You are not alone in that. 😥 It touched my heart that she was able to share her story with us, but the honesty in her eyes when she said “cuz we’re a family” made the tears I’d been holding back burst free. I felt her words in my heart.
Recovering class clown here. Thank you for your vulnerability kris. You are believed, and you are worthy of being believed. You are accepted, and you are worthy of acceptance. You are seen, and you are worthy of being seen.
I’m a class clown and I make people laugh by just getting the dopamine and nobody knew what I was going through and what happens at home and then they ask Landen what’s wrong and then I say nothing just been feeling down and then they say well you only live once so might as well be happy and that’s what they think but I don’t think that and they think I make them laugh by just being funny but it’s just to make me a little happier
My favorite saying I’ve ever heard from anyone is, “I know today sucked, but there’s this party happening called “tomorrow “. I better see you there.” So, I better see you all tomorrow. 😁🖤
Ive struggled wwith depression and had suicidal thoughts. The best quote I ever heard about why not to take your own life is that suicide doesn't end the pain, it just passes it to someone you loved.
Please don’t end your life, you have so much reasons to live, your family, any pets, friends, the joy when you have your favorite food, theme parks, your favorite animal, the pain other people go through, knowing you won’t be there anymore, don’t end it, people will miss you,
Right there with you. I’ve had a few attempts recently and I have no idea what is keeping me going. Some days what happens to the others in my family, passing the pain onto them doesn’t matter enough for me to stay. Some days it does. The thoughts themselves happened frequently to me but burnout pushed me over the edge.
2 minutes in she had tears in her eyes and I realized I'm one of those insane fans who would do anything to see my role model smile. Who tf even disliked this video? Katrina needs names and addresses. 😒
Robin Williams... prime example. No 1 seen the pain until he was gone. Tortured souls have 2 release the pain sum how. I listen 2 alot of comedians. Alot of them had ruff childhoods and pain in their lives. Once u can laugh at ur pain the world starts 2 look a little brighter.. I've been doin TMS (transcranial magnetic simulation) best decision I've ever made.. I appreciate her sharing this.
When she apologized for “crying so much” I said in my head. “WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN! AFTER ALL YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH? YOU HAVE A REASON TO CRY PLEASE DO NOT APOLOGIZE!” I was about to say “I’m so sorry for what you have been through” then I thought, sorry doesn’t seem right for this situation. But I want you to know, that I think you are amazing and I’m so glad you felt comfortable enough to opening up to us, and that your laughter and smiles are the best part of my day💖💖💖
@@naimurrahman2312 I don't agree on calling them losers. I don't blame them for doing what they did because sometimes life sucks and it really does seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Committing suicide may just be the easiest way out of a battle they are just too tired of fighting anymore. Yes, you can tell someone with suicidal thoughts to just 'hang in there', but without motivation, I don't see too many good things coming from that situation. Don't treat my words as doctrine though, I have never personally experienced these feelings/had these mental illnesses myself, but I do think that getting out of a pit of depression takes more than telling them to just get through it.
@@Animatty well I had suicidal thoughts when I was around 10. I know my past self was nothing but a loser. Committing suicide takes courage and if u have that then u should be able to do alot with ur life. U really just need one person around u as a motivation to live until u realize there is so much to luve for in this world. We got sports arts tracking etc etc so so many crazy stuff to do. I personally am a introvert but can't deny I want to go out of my comfort zone if it's what it takes .And yeah I respect however the way u think about it. Life is good we can have the worst of times but after laying low for a long while if we don't open our eyes give ourselves a chance there ain't no hope
@@naimurrahman2312 Very well put. I definitely agree that there are a TON of things that are worth living for. Did you ever see them that way in the moment? Did it really feel like there were things worth staying here for? I also wonder why is it okay to call anyone a loser especially if they are going through something like that? I am of course asking these questions to clarify and further my understanding, seeing that I have not gone through this myself, not to tear apart your points.
This saved my life. I was very suicidal and got close to doing it but seeing one of my favorite CZcamsrs go through the same thing I did helped me so much

I cry everyday. Ever since my son was born, I have been so emotional. And that was 5 years ago. I’m a grown man and there is nothing wrong with crying. I’m going to make sure my son knows that too

My whole life, my mom said to me, “Why are you depressed? You haven’t gone through what I’ve gone through. Don’t I give you everything you need? You should be happy!” So I pretended. For YEARS. But in high school, it got SO bad. I tried so hard to get rid of myself because I couldn’t be the happy girl my mom wanted. I failed, but that desire has never gone away. I understand a lot of what you’ve gone through; those same feelings and those same urges. I just never got help until very recently. Thanks for sharing, Kris. I love you and your channel.

The fact that she mentioned how Kevin, her dog, saved her so many times is SO relatable for me. this was a 26 minute long video, and more than half of it was spent with you breaking down. It really breaks my heart that you were sexually assaulted and that you had to live through all of that. As a male who was r**ed by an upper classman at 14 and SA by a nurse at 15, and being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and IED (explosive rage), I understand your pain. I remember the emasculated feeling and daily rage where I was told to keep my mouth shut because no one would believe me. Drinking was my main coping mechanism. That carried over into my adult years. Got me in trouble with family, friends and the law more times than I can count. I had su*cide plans for everyday of the week. About five years ago, my wife was SA. By telling my story to her, she was able to cope well. Two months later, I was jumped and beaten by a customer when I was driving for Lyft. I get you Kris. I know a variant of that same pain. Thank you for staying alive. From a greatful fan.

Two thoughts saved me from suicidal ideation: "Will my cat survive until they find me?", and: "If I do this, my mother will literally die of grief." My mental health struggle started at age 15 and today, nearing forty, I am on disability because of it. I have ADHD, OCD, and depersonalization-derealization disorder. I am doing schema therapy to integrate my personality and will start trauma therapy in a while. Watching you describing your trauma broke my heart. Something I have to remind myself daily is that the road to recovery or management isn't a straight one, and each person reacts differently to trauma and to therapy. When I see you on CZcams I am envious and ashamed of myself (why can't I overcome like she can?) but maybe somebody else would feel the same about me. To anybody suffering: don't compare your road to someone else's. Your struggle is valid. I feel your message is incredibly strong and incredibly needed. Thank you so much for sharing.
@@bluecapybara123 thank you so much! I’m sorry, I hope you get better. I’ve had my share of thoughts, and it’s hard, so I know a fraction of what you’re going through, and it’s hard enough just to get through that. So, you are so strong, and so awesome, and you will get through it.

Hey sweetheart, so glad to see that you mentioned you were going to share your feelings with family and friends. 16 is a tough age, I remember it well. And I want you to be able to remember it to...trust me, years from now, you may be in such a different and happy, content place. Don't give up hope, ever! You aren't alone. I'm so glad people like Kris share these stories, because it's easy for any of us watching to think that she has it so together and can do anything. But once we learn that she shares our struggles, it makes what she does that much more impressive. You can do the same. Hang in there and you share YOUR beautiful light with the rest of us in this world someday!! 🥰
GOD BLESS YOU AND NEVER FORGET, not only is God with you, there sre people here that care about you, even though we may not know you. I am always here if you need to talk but you are taking the best step by reaching out to your friends and parents. Hang in there, and you will be fine as Kris is. Good luck and God bless. You are LOVED!
I think it's very strong and courageous of you to share this information with your parents and friends. I don't say this to discourage you but rather to encourage you that if you do not receive the kind of support that you had hoped for this doesn't mean you aren't deserving of help! When we share this kind of information with people they aren't sure what to do. They may dismiss your feelings or tell you to just be happy or don't worry about it. If you don't get the response you hope for go online and Google mental health support and your city. There are a lot of free public service resources that you can tap into. I do hope the conversation went well and you got the support you were looking for. ❤

Honestly, it breaks my heart to see Kris like this. I feel so bad for her and everyone else who goes through this! Kris is literally the funniest person I have seen on social media! She is so incredibly strong!
It shouldn’t be depressing to see someone tell their truth. They are human too and have lived a real life of experiences, some good and some bad. If we always talk about the good in our lives we are being disingenuous. Life isn’t always perfect and amazing. She has the right to be real with her fans and even though her story has some very sad bits, she is helping people who admire her see that they aren’t alone in their own mental health struggles. It’s not depressing, it’s enlightening and encouraging. Saying she is depressing is like telling her you’d rather not hear her speak about this stuff, at least that’s the way it comes off. There is a reason people commit suicide and sometimes it’s because they keep to it all inside themselves because they don’t want to make their loved ones sad. Please don’t tell a person who has had suicidal ideation that they are “depressing,” it could have terrible consequences.

It's always the comedians. The people most sad are always the ones trying to make everyone laugh. Mental health sucks man. Thanks for being you
I have found that it's usually the one's who are comedians/funny because they like to make others laugh and smile. There is just this comfort in knowing you have made someone happy. Also cause they know what it's like to be sad pretty much all the time so if they can make someone else laugh especially someone who copes with mental health problems then they feel that slightly bit better.

Ive struggled wwith depression and had suicidal thoughts. The best quote I ever heard about why not to take your own life is that suicide doesn't end the pain, it just passes it to someone you loved.
Im a kid and I have struggled with suicidal thoughts and middle child syndrome this was incredibly uplifting for me and I’m starting recover
“The only thing more exhausting than being depressed is pretending that you’re not.”

@@bluecapybara123 thank you so much! I've been in therapy most of the twenty odd years since my first hospital stay, am on meds, do yoga, meditation etc. But this year I feel I'm really getting to the core of the issues. It can be disheartening to fight for so long to be a functioning member of society, but I'm a bit of a rebel. 😉 It's still a long road but I hope to be more functional in the next year or two.
I’m sorry, I hope you get better. I’ve had my share of thoughts, and it’s hard, so I know a fraction of what you’re going through, and it’s hard enough just to get through that. So, you are so strong, and so awesome, and you will get through it.
I cant i feel so bad no one deserves to go through alk that we r here for u
My daughter an I struggle with depression. We call the darkness the "island". (She is 21). She knows she can msg me that she is on the island an I know she needs someone. We visit the island but we remind each other not to stay on the island. Your story is powerful an took courage. As a mom I just want to hug you. Don't live on the island...
This is such a good way too remind yourself that you aren't stuck! I wish I could tell my father cause he struggles a lot with depression since 2 years know and I don't know what to do to help him besides just being there and letting him know that he can talk to me, when he want to. But he never wants to.
@@G3lja just knowing, to someone with depression, makes all the difference in the world.
I'm telling this to y'all cause I wanna tell someone, this video is relatable beacuse at this moment I'm not eating breakfast or lunch, the only thing I'm eating is dinner. And I know I'm not going to loose weight but I still do it anyway. And I never wanted to loose weight but I want to because my dad said "fatty or fat" for a joke but I didn't take it as a joke. So now I'm not eating and im asking my mom everyday for her to sign me up for sports and I'm biking everyday just to loose weight. And I'm 11 btw
I love this so much, thank you for sharing. Whether I find someone willing to come with me or not, this feels like it would be really helpful.
@@cherylwolfe-milner8427 thank you!
Hi im 16 yo and i've been „not doing okay" for the last few years and this video encouraged me to share this with my friends and im planing to talk about it with my mom and dad. Thank you so much and stay strong to inspire all of us
Please do! I don't even know you, but I have my fingers crossed with all my strength that you are able to find the strength that is hidden inside you, and use it to deal with the issues that hold you down! You got this!
Hope the conversation with your mom and dad went well, it's such a hard conversation to have, but so important. If you need extra support, guidance officers and teachers can help, and so can your doctor. All the best.
“You helped save me”
Actually you saved me. I have anxiety and every time I have an anxiety attack I always take out my phone and start watching your videos. And every single time you put a smile on my face. So thx for saving me. ( btw I’m 12 )
I suffer with anxiety too, I’m much older than you, but remember to reach out to anyone you can if it ever becomes too much. You’re so much stronger than you think. I’m sending all the good vibes your way.
im your same age and i think i have depression. i haven't been diagnosed and im so worried about myself but my mom won't understand me when i say it to her. for your age, things must be tough with anxiety. please try to get support, many people love you ❤️ sending you blessings

I agree she helps me a lot because I suffer from OCD and anxiety so her videos really help me and it’s so hard to recover from past experiences and current experiences.

My dad says to me a lot “Where has my little girl gone? She used to be so happy and smiling all the time. If you ever see her, tell her i miss her and want her back”
She’s gone. The little girl is gone. It’s just me, stress, peer pressure, and anxiety. Parents never realize their kid is suffering and when they realize it’s too late.
I know the feeling it’s ok to not be the little girl anymore my parents tell me the same thing it’ll get better that’s the only thing I can hope for at least
Maybe you should take some pointers from your past. Get better go to therapy! Enjoy the small things in life during COVID I went in to a spiral of sadness but I pulled myself through by finding small things to go for and be happy about!

I definitely think that parents need to understand that depression isn’t your child not trying to be happy it’s a child in a hole that they need help getting out of.
That is an amazing way of putting it!

When she pauses talking i totally get it . The effort she puts to talk and don't cry ...
Don't scream or shout ... Really hard

Seeing the person who made you laugh in your worst times cry is depressing.
It is 🥺 her stuff are so good 🥺😭
same😭😭😭😭
I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her everything was gonna be ok 🥺

I'm in the 7th grade and I'm WAY too mature for my age. I cover it up with pretending to be care free, funny, talkative, and loud. I sometimes wish I can take back my innocence where I didn't have to care about the world as much. You think that it's only the quiet people that suffer but everyone has their own problems. You would never expect the person that is the human equivalent of happiness to suffer from depression....but we do. Kris brings happiness to this world like no other. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making the darkness ebb away....even just a little. With all my love....fight through it.

This is what we need. More normalising talking about mental health, removing the stigma. You’re a great example and if one person is inspired to externalise their struggles, it’s a win. Thank you. Sincerely, thank you. 🖤
