This is for all those confused about the ending. Basically, Monika accessed the folder which contained all of the bad things she had done in past lives, i.e driving Sayori to suicide. She opened it and was terrified by what she saw, so she came to KaneMonger's house and broke down with guilt because of what she did.
god damn so your telling me that the mc or pc has lived through so many timelines from mods and stuff and this mod ties in with the main game this was a very good mod made me tear up in part 3 good job on finding a good mod kane

KaneMonger sure is bad at this. Hopefully he will get a better ending one day.
This mod was confusing tbh. After the 1st half of the series, it kept jumping from scene to scene and I kept getting mood whiplash as a result.
Each scene was fine on it's own, but there was no real transitions between them. It was hard to really get immersed in because of it.
This was a weird ending and I am confused now can someone please explain this to me

Indeed. But it's also DDLC, which is a horror. So I doubt any good ending's coming without a whole lot of pain.

Ok not gonna lie at the end I'm starting to feel a little bad and sad for monika.
Why do I say I'm starting to feel bad?well it's because in my head when I saw her kill herself in the past video well I was like"this is what you fu**ing deserve"for making sayori and yuri kill themself but now I feel a little bad for her
It's understandable why you'd think that way. But the thing this mod is very careful to portray is that:
1) This Monika... isn't the same one that did all of those terrible things. Oh sure, she is in some ways and could still be with the right circumstances. Before she ever gained her memories, a part of her subconsciencely felt guilt, especially toward Sayori, over something she didn't understand. So a part of her knows she did something wrong and it haunts her. But as this is a reset in which she has none of those memories, she has no way of knowing, and isn't even the same person. This Monika still feels the same isolation that comes with living in a game, but she doesn't have the oppressive loneliness and desperation yet that drove her to insanity and pushed her to the extremes she took in the base game. This Monika-- is innocent.
2) That none of them are morally superior. The reality is under the wrong circumstances-- all of them are tainted. Sayori tried to take control in much the same way Monika did in the base game. In the previous prologue of this mod, Yuri attempted the same as well. And the MC took control of the game files and then put an innocent Monika through absolute hell through sheer resentment, fear, and hatred. In so doing, he caused her suicide, which then resulted in Sayori's suicide, and inadvertently he ended up creating a situation where everything fell apart all over again. In his effort to punish Monika for all the ways she hurt him... he became her. As that terrible letter addressed to the player in the game files, and later Yuri, would say: "We are all monsters in here."
3) All of them are worth saving. None of them may be perfect, all have demons and are capable of doing terrible things, but they also have so much good inside them. Even, and most especially, Monika. Sayori punctuates this point at the end of the prologue when she addresses the player and the MC. For all the damage they've all done to each other, they're ultimately human and redeemable. And that is why the MC must learn to forgive all of them, including Monika and including himself. Otherwise, there can be no 'good ending'.
