- Many anglers in West Virginia gripe about stocked waters being fished out within days of being planted with trout by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Meanwhile, that doesn't happen at Sutton Tailwater near Summersville. This large tailwater is big enough to provide excellent trout fishing even weeks after a stocking as you'll see on this episode of Pautzke Outdoors.

I live in Ontario Canada I never seen a golden trout in my life and to see that much I have to go to west Virginia to try and catch at least 1 Golden Trout
The Golden Trout was a special breed cross. The first were released on June 20 , 1963 in celebration of West Virginia Centinal that is 100 years of state hood. The keep limit is 5 per person. Our DNR doe not fool around they watch that limit very close. You have been warned.
If I ever want to find you guys just look for the out of staters trying to look like locals occasionally following the stock trucks
Hilarious - this was more than a week after a trout plant. But hey, if you see us please say hi. And, bring the stock truck with you!
Yeah Guys we have caught a lot of trout there.
You guys should go fish whiteday creek and or pawpaw creek in Marion county wv
