- Hello Everyone, This is a closer look at the Banshee I bought from San Francisco. Previous owner thought it was electrical but it was a simple carb clean. Pilot jet was clogged and that was the reason for a cheap sale and a easy fix for me. Bike runs amazing and honestly its so Fast!!!

I got the same issue , already cleaned both carbs and still having the issue so next I’m gonna swap the plug boots and see what happens.
Rule out a electrical issue by swithing the spark plug boots. If the problem is still as original then time to clean the carbs
man i’m having the same problem my banshee isn’t firing on the left side and we cleaned the carb and it’s still not firing any suggestions?

Oh man, I would've kept that seat bro! Lol or pulled the cover off it and got some cheap black "leather" covering from Walmart and then its a win win lol they deff r hard to get thats for sure. Wish I could drop pics of the 87 I just got. 4mil. Drag pipes. Chrome swingarm. Imnpulking all the nice stuff and putting oem parts on then re selling it for more. Good vid man!! Keep it up. Idk about everyone else but I mostly only watch banshee stuff on CZcams lmao

what if you have a banshee that will only operate the left cylinder but when you pull the choke out just a hair the right cylinder kicks in and starts working and smoking like normal. pretty much what you have going on here in this video but the opposite cylinder and if i pull the choke out slightly it starts running normal aside from it won't idle like that. it will idle with the choke in but right cylinder is misfiring and failing to produce power
Hello sir. I would first start by quickly changing spark plug boots over left to rihht and right to left. Not the entire spark plug but the boots. If the problem moves over to the other side it’s a electrical issue. If continues as same which more than likely it will since when you pull the choke it engages meaning spark. More than likely your pilot jet is dirty. I would recommend cleaning out your carbs. Any debri even old fuel can plug up these carbs the little holes where fuel enters through are so small. ?? I have a banshee and am having problems with headlight at high rpms they shut off and low there on wt can cause that problem
Well the lights are connected to your stator, some call it the “generator” basically what generates electricity to your bike for lights since banshees don’t have batteries. I’m going to bet if sometimes they work and then sometimes they don’t probably a loose wire. Banshees have horrible lighting tbh that’s why a lot of people uplagrade or add batteries to their banshee
What are common problems for a banshee / 2 stroke?
Hello @Akeem Jones, In regards to Banshees and 2 strokes a common issue is jetting. Getting the proper jetting for what's on your bike and elevation. Once you have your jetting good then there's nothing stopping you. Banshees main problem in my opinion is jetting and having the carbs Synched.

What’s up Junior, basically same issue I had. Start by cleaning your carbs… if that doesn’t work move your spark plug boot from one side to the other and let’s just say the problem resolved after moving the spark plug boot from the left to the right and the right to the left then it’s a electrical issue.. would then buy a new coil… I got some if you need one lol
@@AceMotorsports is it true banshee will act up with climate change? I’ve had some many issues with my banshees not starting in pismo and other places far away but at Gorman they start up first kick. I’ve blown a motor already on one of my shees at pismo from that
Yes sir, different altitudes require different jetting. For example here near los angeles area my bike runs a tad rich, which is fine for me bur when i take it to glamis or farther Rosarito it runs perfect and in Rosarito a little more on the lean side but still a nice color on my plugs… Do you know what main and pilot jets your running?
