It is very inspirational and gets you motivated to work hard for oneself whenever I see videos like these that has an abundance of stock of food, that's being canned and preserved, so I would like to try to do food preservations as well. You are very lucky to have a big farm where you can plant and raise animals for meat and eggs.

When I make corn muffins, I add chopped apples. After I put the corn apple mix into muffin tins..I sprinkle just a little brown sugar on the tops of the muffins then bake. They're amazing!

I just tried your sourdough bread recipe over the weekend. Turned our great. I did use soft white, so not as light as it would be with spelt or hard red, but, to me, it was a success!
Love it all thanks for sharing, I want a pasta machine so much easier than my manual one. Parmesan cheese can be frozen to keep for longer periods, we don’t have it often either so freezing it stops it going mouldy. Love seeing the snow, we don’t get snow often here in Canberra, Australia , and it’s summer here right now. I love your huge kitchen, it’s a dream

Very interesting way to make "cornbread." Being from the South, this seems very odd to me. We don't eat sweetened cornbread. This looks sweet like a cake.

What I've done for pre made home made chilli is just freeze dried beef and home canned beans and tomatoes with the juice in them then spices and whatever else it only takes 15 minutes.

* A little tip: Its a good idea to wear a mask when raking out/cleaning chicken coops. The dust in a hen house will be contaminated by chicken skin cells, which can carry campylobacter and other bacteria and fungi. I just thought you'd want to know thins ~ Linda
You look so beautiful pregnant! I just love to see a family who lets Heavenly Father bless them with many children. My sister raised 4 biological children and another 9 adopted children, and many more foster. I was blessed to have 2 biological and one adopted. I would have had more but Heavenly Father had other plans for me. Now I have 5 beautiful grand babies from my oldest daughter and son in law.

Dear Seasonal Homestead, Would you mind doing a review of freeze dried fruit in smoothies? That would be the reason my family could use a freeze dryer. We make 100% fruit smoothies for health reasons. We use frozen organic store bought fruit but our freezer has died and we lost so much. And it is a pain going to the store twice a week. If you can do a review I would greatly appreciate it! A common smoothie we make is just 1 frozen banana, 2cups frozen strawberries and 2 cups water that’s it. So if the freeze dried fruit works similarly it would save us time and make life easier. I’d imagine the smoothie would need ice cubes to make it cold since freeze dried would be room temp? Thank you 🥰
