- Veteran performer Jonathan Goodwin said he has “been to the very brink” after he appeared to bounce off the hood of a car and fall to the ground during a rehearsal for “America’s Got Talent: Extreme.”

it's not miracle. Physics. If you analized it atom by atom, you got the result it was not miracle. Let's take opposite situation. If a one get stroke, and die out of blue. Is it miracle? Same , physics. He was just lucky it wasn't half inch higher or lower.

I’ve heard it was a lot worse than that report says, he broke both Shoulder Blades, broke his spine & severed his Spinal Chord, he nearly died Twice, once in the stunt & on the operating table he was given a 50/50 chance of surviving, he’s now paralysed & in a wheelchair yet this unbelievable guy is so upbeat, I hope he makes a full recovery in time & enjoys his time with his partner.

I thought against doing a stunt, where I jump out of a plane, in a straight jacket, blindfolded and handcuffed, without a parachute, at 500 feet. Go into a roll on landing, then go shopping. The reason I didn't do it, was because, I forgot my wallet.

He was doing what he loved to do and that involves taken risks ,he isn't seen as a burden to those who love him they are just glad he's still here . He can still live a fulfilling life and find other things to do that he will enjoy I'm sure . He's an optimist he will be just fine . Good luck to him .

For some reason he was pulled up right before he released himself. If he had not been pulled up then he would have released himself just in time to fall into the mat.

I’ve heard that these daredevils have a particular gene that gives them the guts or stupidity to perform these death defying acts,case in point ,Harry Houdini ,I have admiration for people like this ,sorry to say that but it simply doesn’t impress me ,he has young children as well ,so I really think it’s even more ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure AGT as a whole has you sign paperwork that mentions that all injuries are on your own accord and they'll have emergency people on set, but you'll be paying for all of the hospital bills and such.

So a complete and total accident that hurt nobody except the trained stuntman, who willingly did this knowing the risks, is not worth a single shred of your sympathy? Maybe you don't have to donate money to him, but saying he deserves it???

actually it’s the human body. Human body’s are extremely resilient and they can survive that but not for long, also the person that reacted to the injury was fast so they called 911 and they were able to treat him easily in a coma and he recovered in a day and he is still alive.
...it was the doctors who saved him. Not god. Y'all need to give credit where credit is due.

All this admiration for his bravery and daredevil skills mean nothing when he's left paralyzed because while HE may "roll" with his new life disability, it also means his family, children will also bear the burden of his choice to engage in stupid, meaningless behavior that put his life at risk which also put his family, children at risk of loss. When it's just you--go for it. Be as stupidly brave as you feel you have to be but when you have a wife and children at home--think about how your actions affect them. Don't isolate yourself in a relationship and make it all about what YOU want. But that's what he did and now he's paralyzed and feted for bravery. NOW, he still gets to be front/center in a wheelchair and enjoy applause. His child never had to endure this. Goodwin made a selfish choice. What he wanted was more important than his own son. Don't like it? Tough. His child is now enduring the loss of the dad he could have had.
WTF his child didn't "lose" the dad he could have had...anyone can become disabled at any given time...
