Thank you I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the tail lights didn't even know that board existed. Lol
Thank you very much! This was driving me crazy!
That was super helpful. Thank you very much!
Thank you Paps for this great video mechanic got me 1st time, not paying them. Am fixing it myself .
Hey.. I need help finding a board for an 08 suburban. Cannot find it at parts store or amazon. Also would I find the board in the same location as this truck?
Does the bracket act as a ground to the block.
Would this be relevant to a 2001 GMC Savana short bus?
Excellent video! Very simple. Now if only I could get my damn old hands to work. 😂
Cómo se llama en México la que cambio dónde se enchufan los arnés
Is that is fixing cruise control, trailer light too?
Do yk if this will fix my light I have leds and when it’s night time I turn my rear light on the ones that just run during the night and the one on the driver side dose not turn on nor does the license plate light
Would this also cause a third brake light to stay on
What’s the name of the wires/harness that delivers power to the block?
I can't even find that block on my 2013 chevy suburban 1500 LT, is it in the back near the spare tire? My brake lights won't turn off.
My brake lights not coming on when I hit breaks at all will this work ?
03 Silverado bottom marker lite blinks, will not stay solid on. Changed buld and new harness, help
Do 97s have this as well cause ive replaced everything and no lights
Have a question I have a 2003 s10 and tail lights are staying on
does it work on the chevy express?
This has to be my issue... With I could thumbs up this twice
I just bought a 2004.5 Chevy 2500hd duramax and I’m having trouble with my driver side rear running light. Brake light, turn signal, and reverse lights all work bud for some reason my running light won’t come on. I just bought a harness for $30 and hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for the video love when people take the time to help others. Cheers 🍻 from Newfoundland!! God bless Ukraine 🇺🇦 and there resilient people.

@@fantastycz6737 I didn’t install it yet. Hopefully this week
Pleease let us know i have the same problem as well
Under the hood there’s a fuse for your running lights. There is 2 of them. One for the left and another for the right.
@@ec4774 you know the numbers or what fuse
I take it if all of my taillight bulbs do not work, this is the part to replace? My Left taillight all three bulbs do not light up, but the brake light does only on one of the dual filament bulbs. My right taillight only one dual filament bulb works for taillight and brake light. Both small side lights single filament bulbs do not light up. That would make sense to replace the circuit board you replaced in this video.
was your backup lights out too
My tail lights work but my reverse lights don’t, what could be the issue?
Where can I buy the metal plate where the board is setting?
Part # for 08 Silverado?
Think this would fix problem with my led lights 🧐
I just found your video, I've been having trouble with my brake lights also. Replaced fuses and the brake pedal switch, taillight housing ( I bought her used; someone put after market LEDs on it). All possible fuses under hood and fuse block under dash. This may be my final answer, (I hope it is). Thanks for putting this vid out there, I'll check back to let you know... Thanks again!
Well, I found my junction block in good shape, just full of dirt... Brushed it out, but still had trouble. Went back to the brake switch, because I realized when I took it off, it was positioned a particular way. So I adjusted it, and the brake lights worked, but wouldn't shut off. After watching another video, (sorry, but I wanted to cover all the bases), I took apart both new and old switch and found the new switch pins in the wrong order. So after an hour or so of tryin to get them set right, I finally got the switch back in and the brake lights, as well as all other lights, working properly again. Thanks for your video, fixing cars yourself is always a process, just takes patience.
Did it work?

11 mon later?
1 year later was it the circut boared
What’s the part number pleases
Where is this located i have a 1999 suburban
Where is this part? I have a 2003 Chevy express 3500 and can't find this part....
Try the relay 4 the parking lights under the hood. I shorted mine with a multimeter across the resistor and it clicked then my taillights started working again. Quick and EZ
I need to know what color of the wiring harness goes to what color on my taillights I cut the connector off my harness and the one that goes to my taillights
On my 2016 chevy Colorado
I have a orange wire a yellow wire black wire and a Grey wire those are the wiring for my taillights the colors from my wiring harness are black, darkgreen, lightgreenangrey and purple together I need to know what colors from the harness goes to what colors on my taillight wiring I cut the connectors off
Where can I buy this part
You can take the metal bracket off prior to removing the junction.
Live in the south u will need new bolts and a cutting touch tried it
You can try....
I have a 2011 Chevy avalanche and I’ve been having rear running light issues.. I bought the rear junction box to find out I don’t have one apparently.. I’ve looked everywhere under the vehicle in the rear even took the spare tire down any help would great! Ty
Just bought 11 avalanche rear taillights won’t come on. Brake light turn signal functional. No lights I hope you fixed your issue by now help me….
Where is it located I can't find it on my chevrolet express 3500?
does this also fix 3rd break light also my 2011 one doesnt work since i bought it replaced bulbs and fuse and only works for 1 second
I dont think so. My 3rd light is the only one working correct still. I think it's on a separate harness.
I have an 09 GMC Sierra, my driver rear park light is out, but the turn signal, brake is ok, would this be the cause of not have not having park light?
Tahnks
All my taillights work the break lights work but when I use the brakes the left one doesn't go brighter
Spray pb blaster around the old board. When you it it to the left, be sure to only knock it to the tab holds. It comes off with ease
When i break my lights dont work but there on everytime everything else works besides when i break i wonder if this will help me out does anyone know?!
I have an 05 Silverado 1500 and there seems to be a short in the left brake light. So I have the brake pedal pushed in so the brake lights are on and I keep taking the bulb in and out and every once in a while the brake light will turn on and stay on.
But every time I go somewhere and test to see if the left brake light is still working and it's not. So i pull the bulb in and out until it turns back on.
My problem is that my left tailight and license plate light don't turn on. My right side works. I've changed the circuit board, lights, and left/right harness. Checked fuses and nothing. Wondering if it's the harness that come from the front to the back that gives it power.
I got a 2006 chevy silverado 2500hd… blinker hyper flashes but my brake light is also in the same area… top light of my taillight won’t turn on at all… could this be the issue?
Yes
just bought a 1500 chevy 08 and for sum reason the cables on my circuit board go to oposite sites 2 of them to be exact grey to black and black to grey anybody know what i can do ?
-left taillight wont work good
my tail light won’t stay on but break works. The fuse LR PRK burns up as soon as I replace it. Any idea if this could be the issue? it’s a Silverado 2002. Ty if anyone replies.
Did you fix the problem?
That's messed up how they put that in there like that... Mine faces parallel with the body on my avy
I’m having this issue on my 97. All the lights work in the back except the running lights. What could it be ? Fuses are good bulbs are good to
I have a 2014 silverado I'm assuming my trailer break and rear camera is part of this faulty circuit board?
Correct
So, using a wrench on that bolt was out of the question?
Thanks really help’s 👍🏽
Has anyone had this problem with a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD? I’m wondering now if it’s mainly a problem for you northern guys with salt and and other corrosives on the road. Thanks for the video.
I’m in Missouri and I think mine just went out on my 2005 3500
Would this cause all my brake lights to be stuck on all the time?
czcams.com/video/ndUW-_d_Z7Q/video.html
Can someone give me the name for this board so I may buy it?
On my 2003 Chevy Silverado my running lights don’t work you have any idea what it could be
have you fixed it?
Would this maybe fix my hyper flash on my 07 silverado ?
Possible
Would this work for the 3rd brake light not working? I can't get my 99 silverado to pass inspection till I get this fixed. The fuse and bulb are good. Hopefully its not a wiring issue 🥴
you can buy a whole new wiring harness for $30, don’t be too worried
@@sauceylp9770 thanks, I truly appreciate it 👍
How much does it cost? I need a new one for a 2008.
$30 on amazon

I’ve replaced the bulbs the board and the whole wire harness and still nothing I’ve checked fuses idk what else to do
Maybe the fuse
All my lights work except for the plate lights. I removed the plate light harness checked for breaks in the wiring tested harness everything good and fuse is good.
where is the fuse for the plate lights ? I’m having the same issue. I have a brand new harness, thinking it’s a fuse if not then it might be the circuit board
@@BernieM2819 i checked all fuse locations under the dash/hood and on either side of the doors (dash). Im thinking too it could be the circuit board.
Where can I buy the metal plate where seat the board? My is toasty and not good for hold the board?
Try rockauto
Thanks@@Precision.automotive
I don't have one on my Chevy suburban 2001 my passenger side license plate light and passenger side tail light not working I put New LED lights in the license plate didn't fix the problem all the fuses are good too
Check the y-harness that goes to license plate items common for getting corroded and going bad
Hey man all my lights work but the break lights will this fix it

What’s this circuit board called?
tail light junction box
Hey Josh thanks for vid. You think this is the case with my brake and turn signals lights working but no tail lights not working? I already tryed replacing bulbs and nothing.
Nope, have the same problem. I already changed the circuit board, the bulb, even the whole wiring harness. I honesty have no idea what it can be at this point. Ima keep investigating tho
@@PardoTutorials Did you find out what it was?
@@jltaco85 yup a stupid fuse. I had checked them before but I guess I didn’t check the right one cause I went back and checked them all with a test light and sure enough a fuse was broken. Replaced it and my taillights have been working great ever since

The ground wire above the spare tire mount broke, that caused my taillight problem.
Tail lights & dash lights not working n its not a fuse.
I need one for a 1999 Chevy express 1500 what is that thing called?
Tail light Junction Block
For my wife's 2006 GMC Yukon Denali I replaced the old board with a new Dorman 923-012 Tail Light Circuit Board from Amazon and things worked for several months. There was some green corrossion on the connections of the old board and plugs. I cleaned up the plugs and replaced the board. When she bought it the previous owner had installed some LEDs which I think might be part of the problems we have at night.
Would this board be the reason why all my tail lights just stay on and never go off?
Check your switch and also ground
@@Precision.automotive tried a brand new doorman switch and a genuine GM and redone all my grounds. All 10 of them
I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado nd my brake lights are the only tail lights not wrking I checked the fuses nd changed the brake switch
Does your running lights stay on ? Having the same issue. My running tailight stays on but when I press the brake my left tailight won’t work
Having trouble with tail lights on a 2010 Silverado . The top light on the driver side won’t stay lite up. But the signal well blink .
Check your ground for that side each side has its own ground
Did you fix it
There’s a problem with my taillights my running lights don’t work but my blinkers and brake do and also the plate lights don’t work what could it be ?
I’m having that same problem and I can’t figure that out on my 1996 Chevy Suburban

What ended up being the problem with the tail light? Currently having the same issue
I'm having the same problem in a 2003 chevy tahoe do you know what the problem was

01 Silverado original owner 387k miles. Recently, no power to rear lights connector but trailer lights work. I’ve checked fuses, ground at rear end, and replaced this board. With test light , I have no power to the connector. Replaced the turn signal multifunction switch too. Any other advise before I take it to a shop? Thanks!

FYI all you need to do is remove the screw on the right and the whole thing comes out, remove the electrical wires then remove the board by prying on the left side tab and then sliding it out
FYI the tabs was rusted that is why it had to be pried off the screw was broken that it lifts up off of.

Fuse for sure same issue with mine a while back now my right break light dont work
Didn’t work,, now what????still no break or left blinker lights
PART NUMBER??????
Where is it located under the truck?
Did you find it? Im still looking...dam...wheres that tail light j7nction box.?
I have an 11 avalanche and can't find it under my truck......
Its under the truck, its under the bed in the rear of the truck sometimes its on the crossmember going across the frame, and sometimes its on the inside of the frame rail on the driver's side back of the truck under the bed
Follow the brake wires under the truck from both sides forward until they end at this distribution block (my deffinition) of what the part is. You have to get on the ground or lift the truck to find it
