Actually you can cut the sanding down by taking a trowel to it when it's still wet and knocking down the points. You have to let it dry for a little while after doing the texture when it starts to set up you can knock it down with a trowel

This happens when people do not watch videos carefully.
1.) After sanding, he used a brush to remove sand/dust. Then he applied one coat of white prime.
2.) The yellow paint is royale play metallic gold.
