I have travelled to over 20 countries on 3 continents, I must say it's the most futuristic city in the world. More importantly, the people. Chinese people were so kind and nice everywhere we went. I am amazed by the hospitality and friendliness. Love from India. I will visit with my family next time.
welcome to china
welcome to china bro, next time when you go to china, you can go to the west part of china ,the view of there is absolutely very amazing and there are much delicious food wating you to explore.w
welcome to China again, take care my Indian friend!
I'm planning to visit China this year. This video and your comment have made me more excited about it!
Filthy city; lived there for five years. Two minutes off any main road puts you in the a kind of squalor unimaginable for any Western European.
After leaving US and arriving in China, we felt a relief of leaving a hell hole and coming to heaven where we felt safe and forgot that we could stay out until 2.00 am which is such a drastic change from a dump in LA to paradise in terms of safety and delicious food right through the night.
有那么夸张吗?😄
@@user-lt9xg5jt9bLA isn’t a dump everywhere. There’s certainly beautiful areas, usually the wealthier neighborhoods and there is an abundance of natural beauty (beaches and mountains). But the number of homeless people and areas that feel unsafe, especially at night, is not ideal to say the least.
LA is a dump, but that does not fairly represent all of America. In fact, most of the US is quite nice.
作为一个中国人听到“从地狱到天堂”,真的吓一跳~
In the States you need to know the neighborhood.... Things can get very segregated. Just a couple of blocks from a wealthier, peaceful neighborhood can be a run down area filled with unemployed and homeless
My husband and I had went to china last year, that was the most amazing travel experience in a lifetime 🎉❤
The best part for this travel is that you don't need to worry about being shot at just anywhere.
Lot of comments about safety, I don't understand where do you ppl live if you worry about being shot?
@@tanja8038LA probably lol
@@tanja8038 These comments are mostly coming from Chinese Little Pinks who resort to such absurd insults and generalizations to champion the supremacy of China over the US.

I have been working in Shenzhen for two and a half years. My hometown is in the border area of Guangxi Province. I like Shenzhen very much. Shenzhen is a young city. There are paper towels in the public toilets in Shenzhen. It is very close to Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and the night view is also great. I often see a sentence that impressed me in subway stations, bus stops, and even high-speed rail stations. Once you come here, you are a Shenzhener. This shows that Shenzhen is a very inclusive city. Most of the people living in this city come from all over the country, and the same is true for food. Thank you for showing your videos to friends from all over the world. Of course, your videos are also very exciting. Shenzhen welcomes international friends to explore 👍👍
Come from Dongxing?
beware of that, for China Bullet Train, the business class is better than the first class (it's different from the airplane). So, if you want to experience the best class, you must buy a business class ticket.
oh that's why I chose first class and its not that first class
@@RSCByes. Business class is better than first class. It's opposite naming convention compared to the west.
So gross! There's a piece of toilet paper on the floor in the train bathroom. China is a dirty country, global south hygen is disgusting!!!
@@RSCBsometimes there is a class I think translated “special class”, on older models, they are the earliest business class, but now you don’t really get to see them. Be careful when you buy tickets, they are just as same comfortable as first class but in a quiet separated area like business class.
would business class be the most expensive then? in planes first is way more expensive than business
Social software in Chinese Mainland can also be used in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Many people in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are active in social software in Chinese Mainland. There are also Malaysian Chinese and Singaporean Chinese

@@shaozhihao yep. prepare a backup phone coz really can't live without it in China. I got panicked when some of the apps got locked all of a sudden last week 😭
Don’t forget to prepare your phone ahead of time. BTW, Shenzhen is where Tencent’s headquarter is, so Alipay is kind of restricted and Wechat is much more convenient there, and it’s just another way around in Hangzhou (where Alibaba’s headquarter is). What an interesting fact hehe
What do you mean restricted? I'm currently gonna visit Shenzhen in 2 weeks as a foreigner from the USA. I was told to use Alipay (connect it to my usa debit card). I never heard anyone say that Alipay is restricted in Shenzhen. @@Alex_k_Q
You two are so goofy and it's so fun to follow your travels
Finally,my favourite place in China
Have you visited Chong Qing ?
The comment section is filled with Chinese Little Pinks who resort to bs propaganda and absurd insults and generalizations to champion the supremacy of China over the US.
Shenzhen is super cool! I ❤ Shenzhen! It's really nice to see your adventures there 😊
Shenzhen is perhaps the youngest megacity in the world, back to 1979 it was just a fishing village
In fact, there are many high-rise 5-star hotels in Shenzhen that can reach 200m, and three or four of them are cheap for only 100-150 US dollars. For example, Renaissance Shenzhen Bay, Shenzhen Iron Crown, Huangting V, etc. Shenzhen's high-rise buildings are indeed one of the best in the world. There are more than 20 300m+ high-rise buildings, which can only be compared with Dubai.
u have to consider the location, this one is located in the most busy and alive area of SZ, it is a 3 -star hotel and costs only $50 per night including breakfast.
哥几个大年初二去的……他们那酒店……好吧携程看了下平时也270……我上次住到过福田的温德姆,还算价廉物美?😂😂
@@yudonghuiI just want to share the relatively cheap but relatively excellent hotels I have been to. However, the locations of the hotels I mentioned are also very good. They are all next to the subway, and one of them is right next to the shopping mall they went to in the video. Considering that they just made a video about a 5-star hotel in Guangzhou, I would like to recommend a low-priced but more interesting 5-star hotel in Shenzhen. If someone actually goes there, I think the 200-meter view will be good.
@@Alex_k_QI haven’t been there yet, but it looks good. I’ll give it a try when I go to Shenzhen next time. Thanks for sharing.
US medias: Don't go to China. You may be followed by secret policemen and may be arrested any time. Chinese people have no freedom. They are oppressed by CCP. Air pollution in Chinese cities is severe. CCP committed genocide in Xinjiang province of China. China ………………………………
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks!
What an awesome exploration and first impression of Shenzhen.
Welcome to ShenZhen
China is a night-life country, but you unfortunately just went to Guangzhou in the wrong time - during Chinese New Year. Every day, especially weekends, streets will be packed with people there. In fact, quite the contrary, most of the shops in China, close at midnight or like 2-3am
China is not a city
but the metro closes early?
There’s no wrong time. During travels I will avoid going during the holidays or festive seasons. It’s stressful and way too many people and you have to wait everywhere.
@@oxoelfoxoThe metro lines in most Chinese cities close at 10 to 11 p.m., because they need maintenance, cleaning and tests.
@@oxoelfoxo During holidays and events, some metro stations will be closed early to prevent big crowds gathering in the stations for safety concerns. There are usually alternative transportation options available and announces in advance
shenzhen is the newest city in China, Its history is only less than 50 years staring from a small fishing village. Most of the population composed of migrants from various parts of China. It is now the Silicon Valley of China. You should go to the high tech shopping centre where you can buy all the spare parts to build your I Phone.
華強北😂
you are right
OMG, u r living in the same hotel as I lived six years ago in Shenzhen. This hotel is besides Dongmen night market, the location is great, its breakfast is a plus. I even had an message in the message shop attached to the hotel, fantastic experience. Enjoy your journey in Shenzhen.
Massage😂
I’m proud of it❤作为深圳人我很自豪
Thank you for showing the reality of China. I really enjoyed the 'eye travel' you brought to us. You guys are funny, humble, and friendly, unlike some travelers who are full of bias and hidden agendas in their videos.
The magnificent McDonald's you saw is the first McDonald's in mainland China, opened in 1990.
1990,not 1992
@@MikeZQJ thanks
Guangzhou and Shenzhen are actually now part of the same city, having physically merged via Dongguan (as in one can walk on urban streets surrounded by buildings from one city centre to the other, on a strip along the coast/ estuary as opposed to the bullet train route that passes countryside). In 2015 the World Bank registered it as the new world's biggest city, overtaking Tokyo. It now counts 41 million urban, and near 60 million by metro count. It's so big you can take a commercial flight from one end to the other
The thing is, if you upscale it a little bit, then there's at least one daily flight between Guangzhou and Hongkong by Cathay Pacific, basically just transporting people who has a long-haul flight from HKG
现在广州可以坐地铁到深圳,新闻上讲的,不过我还没坐过😁
目标是这样打造的😂,但目前还没有完成,但也快了。珠三角地区包括香港澳门的居住总人口超7000万人,还有几千万的移动人口。
I’m loving the blue skies, great to see that even in major metro areas.
I have to wait for a few months until I can travel to China again ... Thanks for your videos.
Cool video! Like how you showed everything, from getting there on the bullet train to your hotel to just walking down the street discovering stuff. Those break dancers were cool. I think you should do a video just showing Chinese street performers. And another one showing big and crazy McDonald's restaurants, Starbucks and other American chains in China.
Yes there IS a Guangzhou North railway station lol
it's in Huadu (my hometown) where the Baiyun airport also located
Maybe you need to change your Alipay location manually to ShenZhen so that Alipay can function correctly in ShenZhen Metro.

China is so safe clean and orderly. Thank you
You need to change your Alipay public transport city to from Guangzhou to SZ for it to work I think...that goes for each city you visit
That's it. I was wondering if that's the reason. I myself need to change from Hong Kong to Shenzhen everytime I go there.
Glad you guys likes this amazing city! We love Shenzhen ♥
You could go to Biotech Island. There all the buses, taxis, parcel delivery vehicles, etc. are self-driving.
Wow! You finally come to my city! Welcome!
one of my bucket list,Shanghai and Beijing too…
Thank you for visiting our country. even though I am no longer in my home country
or call the bank that issued your card which is linked to Alipay, let them know that you are in China, so every now and then there will be money withdrawal not because some hacker is stealing your money.

You guys are so fun😂 love the chatty Caddy and I miss Shenzhen so much!
I walk and shoot here every day, but I am about to leave Shenzhen to explore other cities! Wish you all happiness 👏

Shoot? Guns are illegal in China. You might get arrested!
Nice, I’ve been in that exact Guangzhou train station last December 🤩
That thinly sliced rice cake you had is actually Shanghainese food.
If you guys are still there you should check out Oh Bay, or Shenzhen Bay Park overlooking a bullet like building.
4:07, the vertical sign it’s just says “train car stopping point”, it’s probably for the driver to see at which point is to the perfect parking distance.
Welcome to Shenzhen 🎉i live in both SZ and Hong Kong.
China is very developed.
there will be amazing light shows on each Friday and Saturday at 19:00, 20:00, 21:00 for month Nov to Mar. location is at citizen square at futian district not far from the shopping mall you visited in the video. Check it out~
Get a small bite first to see whether it is hot before you eat as a lot of Chinese food is freshly and hotly cooked. If the food is too hot, let it cool down first, it may taste better when the food is cooling down a bit.
man, thats cool!!❤❤and hangzhou as coool as well (must visit for once at least, never let u down)!!
32:34 Well you guys said it was the 2nd day of CNY? Usually they close down the busy stations to avoid the crowd. So you have to walk a station or 2 to catch the metro, or wait till after 11pm I think? They do offer extra trains and longer service hours.
Nice journey! 😊
Can't wait to visit SZ one day!
I laughed out loud when ya'll called it "worm"😂

34:45 Nah, the live streaming can been seen everywhere in China, like in shopping streets, plazas, public squares or parks. There are still many things we need to learn from the United States, such as self promotion. The propaganda ability of the United States is definitely the best in the world, and the vast majority of Americans I have encountered are overly confident. Related to China's Confucian culture, Chinese people have been taught to be humble since childhood. We are not good at boasting about ourselves, and China is still weak in self promotion. However, in the past two years, we have been continuously improving
