Bumper, Rear Fendor ... approach angle, departure angle and ramp break angles are big criteria for off roading... most people only focus on ground clearance ... well made video
Thanks 🙏
Useful video . Keep making 😊
Really a practical good review, specially the rod on the jack. Good keep doing more
12:25 if you take 4 low it will come out easily after you have put the stone for compensating the approach angle
Further - i don’t think in your case load in the vehicle will increase or decrease the ground clearance. Yes tyre size will matter for sure.
It's easier said than done. I was in 4L but was loosing power because of wheel slippage due to Lack of MLD. Would have crossed it if I could come with a little speed and momentum but the Iron posts at both sides of my tyres were keeping me from doing so.
Secondly if you add weight to any vehicle the springs in chassis will compress and sink down. This is simple mechanics. Every vehicle have different laden and unladen Ground clearance. The degree of sinking may vary but it will go down, doesn't matter if you have a hatchback or a truck.
very informative vlog for Scorpoo N owners ...practically tested
when you are going for modification of new Scorpio @conversion to camper van
Very nicely done ✔️.. sir what do u think which has more capability BLD or MLD? With proper off road tyres
AB bro u r underrated real content creator 💯👍
Ask the other guy to stop laughing while talking.
He simply spoiled the whole video
Bhai he is too lazy to edit the video ...usually we dont use each other voices most of time and do voice overs ...still if you felt sorry but cannt control it😅
That’s alright. Let someone be real
It is important to mention that the Z8 (top model) of the Scorpio-N does not have this issue, as it comes with MLD and BLD! These issues are only related to lower model Scorpio-Ns. Sad, but true.
I can say this by experience, since I own a Z8 (top model) which has MLD and BLD and I have tested it on the Chandrataal route. It's just amazing and very highly capable.
Issue of MLD was secondary. First problem that I faced was Approach angle. I Agree that top variants have MLD so it would have crossed the ditch, but the approach angle is same, DEF tank location is also same. First it would have gotten stuck at bumper, same like mine and putting stones in front of tyres when you find a tricky obstacle is not a good sign of an off-road machine. That's just what I am trying to say.
Regarding chandrataal, please check my channel, I have done chandrataal, sach pass, Zanskaar and a lot more in my 2wd scorpio, without any issues. So I am sure having a 4x4 will be an added advantage.
True, I'm a long standing follower of your channel, I have seen those videos. And yes, the approach and departure angles of the Scorpio-N leave a bitter taste in the mouth, so to speak.
What I was trying to highlight is that not having MLD and BLD is a deal breaker, though, in my opinion! That's the reason why I was adamant on getting the Z8 or not getting it at all.
Yup having an MLD is definately an added advantage. Wish you lots of miles of happy travelling and thanks for following ☺
good the very evening ashish bhai😀😃😄
Thanks for the detailed video.
Brochure in Australia mentions ground clearance of 227mm. All specs are also given
You may check
Yup Mahindra has a history of playing with figures to save taxation and Australians are really crazy about ground clearance. Can't escape from them. But thanks for the information. Might have to redo this experiment at some other place again to recheck the results. Thanks 🙏
Helo brother, im planning to buy the newly launched Scorpio N Z8 select model which comes with 17 inch alloy wheels. So i just need a suggestion from you brother should i upgrade the tyre and alloy wheels to 18 inches or should i just keep them in 17 inches? Pls help. Need your advice. Thank you brother
Frankly, not required. 17 inch is more than sufficient. 18 gives a better aesthetic look but practically it doesn't contribute much..
@ABVentures As you said in the video would 18 inches imcrease the ground clearance by 12mm or the ground clearance and the car height remains the same in both 17 and 18 inches?
Experiment. ❤❤❤
Bhai u can opt for OEM MLD Differential @40k
Scorpio n 4x4 accident in MH due to axle breakdown. Video is on prateek Singh's channel. Please be informed and be safe.
Yup saw it. Really scary and sad. Very poor and kind of expected response from Mahindra. I guess will have to check suspension thoroughly before every long trip 😔
1st ❤🎉🎉
Thanks ❤
Your previous scorpio's ground clearence was 230mm (limited to that only due to the fuel tank protector). Still more than this car. Shocking though 🤔 With your tyre upgrade you now run 31 inch tyres. Old scorpio was 29.5 inches with the michelin tyres.
Yup it's surprising for me too. Maybe some change in suspension arm compared to older version. Also the plastic engine gaurd here is too low so maybe next time I'll recheck once I modify the gaurd and replace it with metal one. Thanks
Need a small help. I have a trip lined up which is of
1500 Kms one way. Could you please clarify if this can be covered with Scorpio N non-stop? This is going to be my longest trip ever. Hence, I have some confusion whether I should go for it or not
Kindly clarify non stop?? I hope you will take a few breaks in between. As such it should not be an issue but i advise to take a break after every 3-4 hours atleast for 15-20 mins to give your engine some rest.
@@ABVentures Appreciated your quick response. Thanks for the tip! Definitely we’ll take break.
Jimny wale bhaiya ki har bar ki hasi me ye conviction dikh rha tha ki jimny lekr unne koi galti nhi kri......😅😅
Scorpio N is not meant for very difficult offloading. Thar and Jimny are tailor made such tough offroading. No surprises here
India mai scorpio n ka koi aur option nahi hai tata lader on frame kabhi nahi banayega toyota koi bhi suv 40lakh ke niche nahi, hycross se thik safari fir ek hi option hai scorpio n usko bhi agar avoid kar dete hai to fwd monoquaqe tata hi lena padega 😂😂😂
@@jaibharat3723 totally agree. There is no other worthy SUV in this price range 👍
@@ABVentures yes😔
Bas ek dikkat hai ,,,but koi na ,,baki chizen sahi h lift krdo
Put Rogerabs suspension boosters to have more ground clearance and smooth ride on rough and mountain terrain.
Ground clearance is sufficient. Problem is the design. Poor aproach and departure angles, placement of critical components (like DEF tank and power steering motor) at odd positions. This is what makes this car vulnerable.
DEF tank is too low in ScorpioN 😮
Yup it is a wired location to place DEF tank 🤷♂️
So disappointed 😢😢😢
It is my favorite car
Don't be disappointed. It's still an awesome vehicle. There are many other factors, like you get a lot of space in it which is missing in Jimny or Thar. Just don't expect it to be as good off-roader as them. Trust me in real world you'll hardly ever face such extreme scenarios.
@@ABVentures ok
Scorpio issue
You want ground clearance? just buy an helicaptor and stop abusing these beasts. Use them well and someone only dream of having vehicle like this but they could not in their lifetime because of money. Those who have money treat these vehicles like toys.
Really? That's what you assumed from this video? Maybe let's buy a vehicle and park it at home. No dents no scratches right? A 4x4 is meant for off-roading. If you want to keep driving on road buy a Breeza. This is common sense. And before facing the real world obstacles you need to practice and discover the limits of yourself and your car in a controlled environment. Otherwise trust me one day you might get stuck in a unthinkable scenario because you are still under the assumption, that you own a "beast"
@@ABVentures Oh, some unthinkable scenario happens in the future. Let's put ourselves in an unthinkable scenario now sounds right. There will be accidents in the futures. Let's put ourselves in a controlled accident scenario.
Yes there are tests for accidents too. That's how you get NCAP rating. Google it.
Hello sir, I have been facing this huge problem with my scorpion s3 as I couldn’t find the mileage reading on it and there are no videos to it can u plz let me know how to check mileage in older scorpios or how to. Know range of kms
