I have this car updated to the newer 2014 Optima EX eco hybrid w/technology package. I LOVE IT! I get an overall MPG around 34 when I pedal to the metal a lot of the time and usually drive 75 MPH on the Frwy. When I feather the pedal I get around 38 to 41 but I'm not a granny who feathers the pedal and drives maximum 65MPH but only did this on one tank of gas to see what I can maximize out of my hybrid on gas. Typically I drive about 530 miles on a full tank with my style of driving instead of the spec specified of 580 miles. Very happy with the car and I get a lot of ooh and ahh's complimenting on the how sporty and cool it looks plus how cool the interior and UVO infotainment system is!! I bought the car at the right time. It MSRP'd at $34,900 and got a rebate at the time in November for $7500. My car payments are $399 a month plus they threw in 9 oil changes and tire rotations. Couldn't be happier!!

Been driving my 2013 for 2 days now. 390 miles behind me and i am easily getting 43.2mpg now. This whole" HYBRID not so hot" campaign reminds me of the Payola scandal. Going from Jeep Commander at 13-16mpg the "extra" $ which on a certified preowned equates to bupkis is certainly going to be nothing but a fleeting thought in a couple months of Sunoco bills that will reflect a near 75% decrease! Drive it right and get the rewards. And this does not mean anything other than less jack rabbit starts and coast/brake regen vigilance. WELL WORTH IT! Fast becoming my 2nd favorite car (god I loved my Commander)and the thing does 130 with ease so don't tell me I'm some tree hugger either!!!

Great review. As far as the car, it's ok. I would definitely change the wheels though.

i have this car in the lx. gotta admit the wheels are ugly as hell espically even smaller like my 16s. nothing a can of plastidip cant change lol. my mpg city has been 28:( pretty weak for a hybrid. the brakes feel very weird in this car and their is a hesitation from time time when ur bout to gun it into traffic. worth the price im paying paying for a lease? no. but thats my fault for not working the price down. one of the best look cars out on the road today tho. other then the wheels on my model and the fake fender vents

Alex I had no interest in this car whatsoever but I still watched it because your reviews are funny. I unsubscribed from Dave's channel because his reviews are so freaking boring.
