thanks Shashank for this amazing video/podcast. until now I have seen almost all videos in this 1.5 years. this was the most inspiring video amongst all. If a BA pass person can enter into data scientist role then everyone can do this. because statistics and machine learning algo part is much tougher than we thought. I am also 2017 CS pass out student and I have 5 years gap. now pursuing course and did couple of EDA projects. until now I faced 2 intrvw. I could not clear that but positive thing is HR's aproaching me. I am also applied in almost all companies where I have seen data science word.... So I can say to everyone keep learning and working hard. everyone's time will come.

@@renuka8061 start python from krish naik channel. if u feel comfertable then join any course. if u r so passionate then then dont wait for comfertable in python. just dive deep. on krish naik channel evrything is there. start preparation.....
No companies don’t reject coz of arts degree. But yes graduation in Yoga & Gita if you do you won’t have much scope. Also post such graduations you need to pursue some specialization cource. That will help !

it will only take 2 to 2.5 years the whole it field will be saturated & therefore demand to supply ratio will be disrupted.people will do it jobs at 4 to 6 lpa so many coding bootcamps r originating to make money. learn smthing unique & really dificlt stuff in order to be ahead of others.

I have a strong math and coding background. I understand complex algorithms like back propagation in RNN, quadratic optimization in SVM pretty well. My main problem is not knowing what not to learn. I just try to learn everything which is unnecessary and time consuming. After wasting months now I have understood what not to do. So I have prepared a roadmap and strictly following it. Another thing is underestimating myself, I have completed all medium level SQL questions in data lemur still I don't feel confident. This is something I need to work on.

@@jojven7514 hey don't worry man everything gonna be alright. If you ask me I will suggest one thing. 1. First set your goal. If you have some particular interest in engineering domain then go for it. If you don't have any interest or the interest is risky to pursue or doesn't pay well then drop it. (As you said you are from low financial background). Go for something which is not very difficult to achieve and pays well.( Like being a pilot pay well but it is difficult to be one but IT can pay well also its not that difficult as compared to pilot(require lot of money)). 2. After setting the goal find a roadmap (what to study,interview process) etc. which can cover minimum requirements to land you in entry level position of that goal. Like if you want to become data scientist first learn enough to get into a position like data analyst, junior data scientist. After completing that then go search for job meanwhile learning advance stuff. 3. In between you will feel temptation or mood swings or anxiety but stick to the roadmap if you believe in it.
