Just a quick unboxing and review video of the Lisle 63600 Oil Filter Wrench. This could be a great solution for tight access and a smaller oil filter. This works with a 3/8" drive ratchet. I like this low profile design that clamps on to the end of the filter. It worked great for getting a stuck oil filter off without damaging it. It sure beats trying to pound a screwdriver through the filter...
**Never use an oil filter wrench to tighten an oil filter**
(This one won't work to tighten an oil filter, it only works in the direction to loosen).
From the product description on Amazon:
    Fits Filters from 2 1/2" to 3 1/8".
Removes all oil filters from 2 1/2" to 3 1/8" in diameter.
This extra large range enables the 63600 wrench to fit most all import car filters plus the common 3" domestic car filters.
Steel jaws grip filter without slipping. Works in tight spots from the front of the filter using 3/8" drive.
This is to be used for removing the filter, not installing.

Cool. I have this one, it's the best one I've tried. Also, it won't tighten, which is a subtle hint to never use a tool to torque the filter, just use your hand only. Finally, I find filters come off more easily on cold engines.

This tool is the best even for the stubborn ones . It's a shame most places don't sell them

I'm probably one of the few people that uses the manufacturer's torque spec's for installing my oil filters. Unfortunately, I had a major service done on my bike by the dealer, which included oil & filter and now I can't get the damn filter off. I'm going to try this wrench. Many thanks.

i saw a video where a guy described it is hard to remov e the tool after you have loosened the filter. he showed that you have to grip the filter with your hand and then actually switch the ratchet to "tighten" and give it small tightening turn to get the tool off of the filter. you did not seem to have a problem removing it. did you do anything special to remove the tool from the filter once loose|?

No, it just came right off, but I can see it digging in to the oil filter if it is really stuck…that might cause you to need to hold it and turn it the other way to release it’s grip…
      Thx for watching!
