How different is Korea’s Chuseok holiday in the North compared to the South?

    The Chuseok holiday is a big a deal for Koreans. But are there also significant differences in the way this harvest festival is celebrated in North Korea compared with the South? It seems people on both sides of the border place a strong emphasis on food, fun, and ancestral rites. That said, Pyongyang’s strict regime and decades of separation have inevitably created some variations.

    This is actually pretty interesting on how the North and South are celebrating Chuseok. I actually learned something more then my online classes Lol.
    Fun Fact: Taiwan is celebrating something similar to Chuseok at the moment and they get 3 days off like the South.

    Well it’s mid autumn festival for Chinese too... Are they actually the same thing chuseok and mid autumn festival?

      Yes but no. Its on the same day (mid autumn), but the traditions are different. Different cultures, different ways of celebrating.
