Very complete instructions to follow through. Sometimes the interface is complicated by the OEM display and the CarPlay/Android. Finding aux sound and alrerts is not logical, and your video helps to make it a little easier. I am not sure but I think that if the Original back up camera is selected it is displaed without switching back to OEM display on a C4 Picasso II . I'll have to check.
Hello. I see that the 308 does not automatically switch to the rear camera, while the same module installed on the Peugeot 508 automatically switches to the reversing camera when the car is in reverse.

Hello. The problem with touch lag is from the original multimedia unit, not from the screen. When you use the Android Auto module, all commands go out of the way without going through the original multimedia, so there is no touch lag.

Hello. This module is not compatible with DAB / DAB+ radio. But with Android Auto / Carplay you can always listen to Radio Online

- Is there a wheel button that we can use to trigger it or will it work just saying "Ok google"?

- I haven't tried using Google Assistant but it should work.
- There is no button on the steering wheel to activate Google Assistant, you can activate with OK Google.
- Apple CarPlay wireless works very well with iPhone, on newer Android phones it works wirelessly but for example on OnePlus Nord 2 found a bug as handsfree does not work well when Android Auto is connected over wifi, with cable work ok.

I see the unit being inserted without anything to prevent it from moving (e.g. on bumps on the road). Would it be wise to use a Velco to fasten it to the original unit (which is secured with the Torx screws) ?
Hi. I think it is quite fixed there because there are many cables between which it sits. You can also fasten it with velcro on the original radio unit housing, but it needs air to circulate for cooling.

Hello. To have the AUX option active, follow these steps: connect your phone to the module and display Carplay or Android auto. Go to the phone application for music (potify, TuneIn, CZcams Musuc, etc.) and start playing something. First of all, amazing video! I have a question i hope you can help me with. If the car is running Carplay trough bluetooth, is it still possible to make phone calls? The phone is normally connected to the built-in Peugeot system and can't be connected via bluetooth to 2 systems at the same time. Thank you again!
Hello. The Android Auto and Carplay module also supports the handsfree function. However, the phone can have several bluetooth connections simultaneously.

Regarding phone calls, when i just use the USB connection for Carplay phone calls don' t seem to work properly. The other caller just hears a high pitched whine whereas calls are fine using Carplay wireless

On your ally express link for the Carplay, it gives you the option to buy it for SMEG or NAC. My car currently has the SMEG+, if I was to buy the NAC version, would carplay still work in my car? Is there also any benefit to buying the NAC over the SMEG? Thanks!
SMEG & SMEG+ are the same technically only that SMEG+ has navigation. You have to buy the version for SMEG even if you have SMEG+. If you buy the module for NAC, it will not fit your SMEG plugs. The modules are identical, the connection cables to the original multimedia differ.

Hi! Thanks a lot! Everything seems to work finde in my 308. But the original Buttons (air conditioning, radio, and so on) don't take me back to the original interface? I have to press "list" for a couple of seconds for that.
Hello. On my Android module, I can return to the original interface by pressing any button on the sides of the screen. It is possible that new models have a soft update that no longer allows this.
@@AdrianDragan Thank you for your answer. I noticed that the button in the middle on the right (Peugeot connectivity?) works. It does give me a short error message but gets me back into the original interface. Not ideal but okay.

Hello. I chose to install it in the glove box in order not to tighten all the cables of the module under it. There is more space there.

Hello. By default, the Peugeot multimedia unit always starts on FM Radio, so you will have to manually activate the AUX IN function by selecting the SOURCE button.

Hello. If you also have a CD storage, it would be an idea to put the module in the glove compartment, its cable is long enough to reach there. I have already done this with the new module in my car and it works very well. In the next few days I will upload a video on the channel about how to install the module in the glove box.

One thing I noticed is the Bluetooth / Device in general seems to stay on after I power off my car? I'm concerned that it may drain my battery in the background when my car is off.

Hello. The module stops completely after about 2-3 minutes. So there is no chance to discharge the battery. My car has never run out of battery.

I'm looking for a better integration with the phone for calls, so it would still work if I was listening to the radio without having to switch back to the module.

Hello. You can use this mode without selecting AUX in the audio source. If I remember correctly, in the module menu you have the option to choose to use bluetooth from the module or the original bluetooth of the multimedia system.

Hello. The Android module receives the audio signal from the phone via Bluetooth, so you don't need Aux Audio from phone.

Hello. The cables that connect to the module are long enough that you can put the module right in the glove box. Another option would be to take it under the dashboard in the area of the steering column, but I would still put it in the glove box.

Hello. Yes, you can remove the CD player so that you can connect and lay the cables more easily. You can install the module in the glove box. Remove the lamp from the glove box and run the LVDS cables and the module power cable there, leave the Wifi antenna and the USB cable in the glove compartment.

Excellent video, I do it very well and wors perfect only one malfunction, when a received a call threw android auto i lost the music from Spotify or other media. I have to reconnect the phone to solve this problem till new call and agen the problem appears.... This makes me crazy. Pls any suggestions to solve this problem?

Hello. Even if you install the Android Auto / Carplay module, the original Radio will keep all functions including DAB Radio if it has it.

1. The functions of the original multimedia will work the same as before.
2. The audio volume rotary knob and the LIST button with the Google Assistant function will work fine. The small wheel on the right on the steering wheel with which you walk between applications has a small bug and jumps two applications at a time instead of one, for me it is no problem because I do not use it but for others it can be a problem.
3. Waze (and all other applications) only be displayed on the big screen.
4. Yes, you can change by long pressing the LIST button or by pressing any other side button with original multimedia functions.

Hi there Adrian, I've purchased the device via your link and have installed it yesterday. However, when I switch between the original system and carplay system the screen seems to lose power for a sec and then switches. Have you ever experienced this? If so, how do I fix it? My Peugeot had a cd player which I removed, but I left the cable as it is. Could that maybe be the problem?
Hello. It is not a problem with the screen off for almost a second when switching between the module and the original multimedia screen, and the same thing happens to me.
However, I think it would be good to place back the CD drive and the Android / Carplay module and put it in the glove box. Remove the glove box lighting lamp and pull the cables through that hole next to the lamp. That's what I did and I will show this in one of the next video.

Hello. This module is not compatible with Peugeot's RNEG system. You can choose to install an Android system dedicated to Peugeot 508, see the links below. One more question: does your car have a JBL audio system from the factory? I ask you because dedicated Android systems are not compatible with JBL.

I installed it and It works well but a small anoiance is that the steering wheel dial mades the android auto to jump two positions with every click instead of one, is there a solution for that?. Also I found sometimes very difficult to select an item on the screen, the screen scrolls instead of selecting the icon.

Hello. I haven't installed a Underseat Bass Box, but you should connect to the multimedia wires that send the signal to the speakers and use a filter to attenuate the signal (power).

Hello. I think this module is suitable for you. The camera and parking sensors can be displayed automatically when you put it in reverse, but you will have to bring a + cable from the reverse lamp to the Android Auto Carplay module and connect it to the REVERSE wire on the module.
I think that such an Android / Carplay module is suitable for you. You keep the original functions of the car's multimedia, but you also have AA / Carplay.

Hello. You don't lose information when switching between the Carplay screen and the original screen. To exit the module screen, press the Star button on the right side of the screen, to return to the screen, press and hold the "LIST" button on the steering wheel.

Hi. I just installed this but none of the side panel buttons such as the fan, radio, nav buttons work when i’m using the new unit. The oem unit registers i’ve pressed it as it makes the sound but the only way for me to enter and exit the Car Play unit and use e.g. the fans is using the list button on the steering wheel. Have I done something wrong or is there a way to change this in the settings? Thanks

Hello. Go to the Settings menu of the module, Bluetooth. Here choose whether to use the original Bluetooth connection or that of the module. I hope you solve the problem from here.

Hello. Yes, this module is also compatible with drives that have cd player + color screen.

Installed this module in my 308 a few months ago and it works great apart from one thing - whenever I make or receive calls, the call audio won't come out the car speakers (Both when plugged in or in wireless mode)? Instead, I have to change the setting to "speaker phone" and it comes out the handset.
Anyone know how to get the call audio to come through the aux / bluetooth into the car?
Hello. Go to the module settings, Factory Menu (use password 0301) and then activate or deactivate "Use original BT", see if it will work well. If you are unable to solve the problem, ask the seller about it.

Hi, i have a problem! i have a peugeot 208 with the old smeg sistem and when i connect the phone with bluetooth apple carplay i don’t hear the audio of the phone but i hear the fm radio of the car and using the steering wheel controls on carplay i also change the radio stations in the background, is it possible to hear the audio of the phone without using the cable? Because on the original sistem i only see the fm and am options for audio input, bluetooth and aux don’t light up

Hello. After connecting the iPhone to the module, you must open CarPlay and have an audio source from the phone (let's say Spotify or anything else) for the AUX IN audio port to become active in the original multimedia menu. I hope I understood well about your problem.

Hello. Stop the engine and remove the key from the ignition for two to three minutes, then when you start it will reset.

Hello. You need to bring a cable from the "+" of reversing lamp and it connects to the "reverse" cable of module. Connect the camera's video signal wire to the yellow rca on the module.

Hello. It depends on the model of your Android phone, if it is from the new generation with at least Android 11, Android Auto Wireless will work and you will only have to connect it to the cable the first time, after that it will automatically connect to Wireless mode.

Salut. Se poate instala și comutarea între interfata originala și modul se face ținând apăsat butonul LIST de pe volan. Va functiona in același fel cum vezi în clipul meu.

Hello. The camera does not switch automatically, or it did not on my module. I made an adaptation with a relay and a wire brought from the reverse lamp that gives a signal in the Reverse cable of the module and works the automatic transition on the camera image when I put it in reverse gear. I filmed a tutorial about this but haven't managed to edit it yet :)

Salutare. Am observat și eu un ușor bruiaj pe Radio FM, suspectez ca ar fi din cauza faptului ca am montat modulul chiar peste radioul original și acest ar putea fi bruiat pe recepția radio de către modul. Voi incerca sa-l mut în alta parte și sa vad ce se intampla.
Super detailed explanation and very informative video. I liked and subscribed. I have 2 questions, I hope you can answer:
1- I have Peugeot 308 - 2016 model Allure Package. The car has exactly the same screen and functionality but my car's package doesn't have GPS function (navigation map). But it does have that navigation button where you click and open the Android Auto in the video (but in my car when you click that button it says "navigation is loading" but then closes since it doesn't have this package). If I do everything as you showed in the video, when I click to that button it would open Android Auto screen right? I hope it wouldn't try to open its built-in map and then close again.
2- Can I connect to Android Auto using Bluetooth wirelessly?

1. You will press the Navi button and it will switch to the Android Auto / Carplay module. However, you have the second option to switch to the module by pressing the LIST button on the steering wheel controls.
2. Android Auto wireless works on newer phones but still has some bugs. I tested with OnePlus Nord 2 and it worked but my handsfree didn't work well and I prefer to use the cable connection which has no problems.

I installed the module also in my car. However using the navi button does not toggle between Carplay and the Peugeot built-in app. I need to press starr button. to change from Carplay to Peugeot app. However repressing this starbutton does not bring back car play. Also the second option to use the list button does not bring back carplay. I have to manually disconnect and connect the usb cable on the phone. Then carplay comes back. It's a bit annouying when I want to change temperture settings in the car.

Salutare. Inca nu am instalat o unitate Android pe un 508 dar sunt interesat sa o fac și sa filmez un tutorial. Ca si recomandare din start spun sa mergi pe o varianta cu procesor Octa Core si minim 4gb memorie ram, recomandarea mea ar fi o varianta din următorul link cu livrare din Franta. Livrarea se face din Franța. Daca te intereseaza te pot ajuta gratuit cu montajul dor să-mi spui din ce localitate esti.

In partea de jos a paginii gasesti o casuta in care introduci seria de caroserie a masinii (VF******************) apoi daca masina ta este eligibila vei primi instructiuni si link de descarcare a hartilor. Pe viitor voi face un tutorial despre acest lucru.

Salutare. Masina a venit cu camera instalata din fabrica. Nu am un tutorial dar sunt interesat sa fac unul despre acest lucru. Daca vrei pot face instalarea gratuit pe masina ta, doar să-mi spui din ce localitate esti, din ce an este masina si versiunea (hatchback, sw).

Salut. Acest modul nu are specificații un ceea ce privește procesorul sau memoria RAM. De fapt modulul functioneaza doar ca o interfata între telefon și ecranul masinii, iar treaba și-o face foarte bine. Pe de alta parte zilele trecute mi-a sosit o tableta Android dedicata 308-ului T9 comandata de pe Aliexpress si sper ca în vreo doua - trei săptămâni sa o testez și sa fac un review despre ea. Totusi I-am facut o scurta proba și la prima vedere pare foarte ok, are deja Android Auto si Carplay integrat, însă meniul masinii este mult mai întortocheat... Totusi comenzile pentru climatizare sunt la o apăsare de buton. Cred ca mi-ar relativ greu sa decid între acestea doua, desi tendința mea este sa pastrez multimedia originala și sa folosesc modulul, daca am Android Auto si Carplay altceva nu-mi trebuie.

Salutare. Teoretic ar trebui sa mearga chiar dacă nu ai butonul Navi pe sistemul original, comutarea se poate face și din butonul SOURCE, important este sa ai sistem SMEG. Ar fi interesant de testat.
@@AdrianDraganam cautat acum si am vazut video pe CZcams cu ceea ce am eu, un francez a pus exact pe un C4 Grand Picasso 2014 fara navigator si functioneaza fara probleme, schimbul il facea din butonul LIST de pe volan. Pour passer à AUX et pouvoir écouter de la musique à partir d'Android Auto, vous devez jouer du son à partir d'Android Auto, par exemple Spotify est déjà en cours d'exécution. Autrement dit, démarrez l'application Spotify sur Android Auto, puis sélectionnez la source Aux.

Hello. I don't have these problems with stopping the music on my module. The only problem is that it does not display the camera, but I will solve it soon.

Hello! I haven't had this problem until now and I can't figure out what it could be. I think you should re-check all the cable connections or move the place where the module is installed, maybe it receives some interference.
