Ice Nine Kills still plays their older horror based songs; not the specific movie/book ones-- so clearly they can run horrorcore for as long as they want. We'll still love it as long as their performance is still their own thing.
Also, listen to the entire album and watch the Meat and Greet movie; I feel like you dont see the actual underlying story that it depicts- that they d i d write themselves
The horror thing will last because now they have become horror icons as well. They have their own horror convention and have become friends with a lot of the horror community. I think they will eventually fit into a Gwar Category. They did tell their own story with this album. If you watch all the music videos it’s actually a movie.
If they ever do move on from horror movies, I'd love an album about urban legends. I feel like a song about something like black eyed children would be cool
That’s my point tho, I think they have so much more potential. Imagine they take their original characters and lore and make their own feature film with their connections they have now. Then use their music as a companion piece for expanded lore. Make an INK universe. One thing I find I focus on most as a reviewer is missed potential. I think that is the ticket right there. I just don’t want to see them put themselves in a box

Stale?! This is basically their own kind of thing they'd like to go with. Some rock bands like to change their music during the years, but this one stick to what they do. Just my opinion.

I too would love to see more original tracks, even drawing on horror themes and emotions, and have them mixed in with the specific movie-based and literature-based ones. Welcome to Horrorwood (the song) is one of my favorites on the album.
this is what i'm saying. imagine if they found a way to make their own movie franchise based on their original characters and story, and their albums could go along with the movies. i hope they see the potential
