    Hello
    Thank u for ur efforts to explain such a complex topic so practically.
    can u pls guide me on how to get the max pick up on my Yamaha, 2 Stroke RX100 92 model?
    I have put new clutch plates, new piston, rebored the block to 1 step up over stock bore.,new spark plug, new air filter,new connecting rod, and did carb cleaning, also I add semi synth 2T oil (30% )to petrol .
    Also guide me to stop leaking oil pump.
    Does reed valve play any role in pick up of bike?
    pls.

    @PowerModz What would you think is a good starting point for the air jets. I have a 79 TX 340 and it seems to like 1/2 a turn. A full turn seems to lean it out and it wont come off high idle. It seems to have a little more low end power at a 1/2 a turn but I don't want to risk blowing up.

    Check the plug, hold it where it is bogging out for a few seconds then chop turn off the ignition - look at the plug - if it is dry then you are lean and not getting enought fuel, wet and dark then too much - then go from there. did you clean the carb?

    can you detail the connection of the throttle cable to the throttle slide. Does the retainer plate sit loose on the bottom of the spring, or does the throttle cable go through the second hole in the retainer plate. I ran it through the hole and it seems to work ok. does it make a difference?

  • @MarshallBLewis

    You said to install the idle screw loosely, so it really doesn't matter to be accurate with it? Is that something you adjust once the sled is running?

    You dont use any kind of lube for the moving parts? Or the choke valve? It has a rubber grommet on it. Silicon spray or something ?

    Hello PowerModz, what does sync up the carb mean?

    • @jellojackets
      @jellojackets Před 6 lety +1

      if you have multiple carbs they all need to be giving the right fuel/air mix at the right throttle position. so you sync them up to allow that.
