moskov's abyss skin story

Why did Moskov joined the Abyss squad.
Originally Moskov and Chou were comrades they used to fight for the Dawn society against the Abyss.
On one certain incident where the Abyss outnumber them Moskov sends Chou to request for reinforcements.
But the back-up never came, Moskov and his 2 other comrades were anhilated and Moskov was left for death.
He felt betrayed and rage consumed him.
On one certain night he came to assassinate the commander only to his suprised he was stopped by Chou his old comrade.
Chou did manage to break the mask revealing the changed Moskov.
Moskov retreated and he throws his spear at Chou as a warning shot.
