Fun fact: The dark magician that actually came in this set is the original artwork. That artwork for that dark magician came in legend of blue eyes which was released in 2002 before the original starter deck dark magician artwork. So this one is actually the original.

There are far too many cards that should be in this set but aren't. I just don't know what Konami was thinking...

Corsair Joshua I agree, but at least the packs are cheap =). A few cards that could have been in here are Dark Magician (Arkana), Dark Paladin, Blue Eyes Ultimate, Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, the beast cards (I forgot the names, sorry), and of course, Monster Reborn

I like this Dark Magician artwork. Hopefully the Arkana version and the Starter Deck Yugi DM's will make an appearance someday.
Awesome pulls Mr. Cyberknight! I gotta' say though....I've NEVER been more disappointed with A pack as I am this. I'm not into Yugioh much anymore, but I play character decks casually with my friends and seeing this pack at first got me so pumped up! FINALLY....Dark Sanctuary, Magical Trick Mirror, Lifeshaver, Spell Sanctuary, ELECTROMAGNETIC FREAKIN TURTLE, etc....SO MANY great cards that could've been printed.....but no....instead they included cards that were never even seen in this arc?! Had the perfect chance and they blew it. At least we got Juragedo and Sphere Mode Ra

That Blue-Eyes White Dragon artwork was the first JUMP promo. It was one of my first Blue-Eyes cards.
I got some packs on Sunday and I got some of the cards for my Yugi deck profile for this particular season of the original Yugioh, along with some cards from Kaiba, Joey, Mai, and Pegasus's Decks as well.

Awesome video! Wish they put cards in this set that were actually in battle city. A big part of the focus was the card cards and they aren't in here. This set coulda been so good.
These older cards bring back so many memories.
Duelist Pack: Battle City has got to be one of the sets I've done best with. Got a box plus four extra packs on the release date and blue-eyes was in the first pack I opened. I also have every card in the set, including the new ra.
Wow just realized that I didn't complete it, because cyber opened up the second pack, and that was an ultra that I did not get!

I bought this booster box and it was awesome! I got a red eyes, black lusters solider, two anti magic arrows, two ra sphere modes, a dark magician, the jester, two dark magician girls, and two blue eyes as well as crush cards, toon cards and all that
I haven't bought Yugioh cards in ages. Decided to get this booster box and pulled every card in the set! Lol
I love sphere mode for Ra its pretty sweet. Not alot of cards where you can tribute your opponents monsters to summon lol.

You got all but ONE of the cards in the set and that card is the Blue-Eyes. So close to full set from just one box.
I can't believe you got two Sphere modes out of this box. It would be awesome if Phoenix Mode were to be released in the future. You never know.
Phoenix mode is just ras ability of destroying a monster by paying 1000 points I don't think it will come out
ra paying 1000 lp to destroy a monster already exists lol. theres no point in making another one, except for artwork collection i guess
On the topic of art since you talked a lot about it I'm personally the same and like original artwork the best EXCEPT on the topic of Anniversary Pack because that art of that set has the coolest/the most interesting/the most badass art! For god's sake Blue-Eyes is on top of a tower (assumed to be Kaiba Corp) with the moon in the back! Red-Eyes is shooting fire on top of molten earth! Celtic Guardian is slashing up foes! They're all amazing artwork I usually disagree with people on that topic a lot because the Anniversary Pack is held in high regard by me. It's also why I spent $45 to get a play set of BEWD to replace the ones I had in my BEWD deck

That ark work for blue eyes was a jump card because I am using it in my blue eyes deck
the box I bought payed for itself seeing that I got a playset of everything but blue-eyes and the card that goes well with aromages
You can open packs a lot faster if you pull and tear the flap thats on the back of teh pack instead of splitting the flap in two.

You should do a pack and play where like you and a friend pick a specific booster box(don't have to be the same) and you open up the packs and build the best deck you can from what you pulled and duel :D
OMG THE DARK MAGICIAN ARTWORK I WANT!!! I NEED TO BUY TEN OF THOSE BOXES SO I CAN GET ONE!!!!!! Also, once I bought a small box with two packs, gave one to my sister, first card she pulled: Winged Dragon of Ra: Sphere Mode.

i must say i'm really happy with this pack as well, recently i bought like.....6 packs of it? and got both blue eyes and dark magician....though i was hoping for a dark magician girl xD
you got two of the three of the cards that I needed to complete the collection, legion the fiend jester and jurgedo.
the only one you did not get that I need is Dark magician Arkana form
I got my first 2 packs of this set, first pack, pulled Blue-Eyes White Dragon, I was thrilled.
Blue eyes is terribly cheap, at least its other editions. Nice pull tho.

The first pack I opened in my box had Blue Eyes White Dragon. It's like it knew it was my favorite card.

Is the winged dragon of ra destroyed after it was summoned by sphere mode because it was special or not? then Can ra apply the effect of prevent the other to activate something?

I assume you need 2,2 (sphere and actual) for a more or less pure ra deck if you wanna use all 3 gods i assume 1 is enough (no clue not testing till december when it comes EU)

In Australia most packs are 5 to 6 dollars each and a tin would be 40 dollars

I made the mistake of pre-purchasing one frok Ebay for $55.
Opened every pack, and only got 1 Ra. 1 Dark Magician. 1 blue eyes. 1 red eyes. 2 Lusters. 1 Clown or whatever. 1 other super.
I'll go through them all soon and find out if I even completed the set..
The super rare Black Luster Solider doesn't have the number code on the bottom of it...

Why didn't they reprint magical Rapaddle, which was played in Battle City

We need a lot more Duelist Packs we don't have Jack, Akiza, the Meclord guys they'd be awesome, any of the people in Zexal we don't have (we have 2 for Yuma, One of Kite, and then one of the Kastel siblings) but I didn't watch Zexal couldn't stand it so idk the characters and of course we don't have any for Arc V either

Should have just thrown the few new supers and ultras in DRLG2 or the next main set rather than reprinting a bunch of common versions of OG cards + 5 new cards and calling it a set. Or at least make everything holo like HA & DRLG? Love the idea of going back to old Yugioh though...but not the execution.
