Gambit in a nutshell.
Though it feels so frustrating to lose, it’s the fact that you can instantly turn the game around by feeding another primeval or killing the opposing team is what makes the game more a risky “gambit”.
It only gets worse if you somehow get an odd addiction to the game mode... I fucking love this piece of shit game mode...

can always friend em and see if they wanna 4 stack together or not, but yeah there is a rare occasion where a stay as team would be nice, dont come across it much as personal experience when I play with my friends, that one random we get every match sucks worse then a vacuum at max suction

I’m glad he played 50 games and still never realized, brought up, or used the mechanic of draining the enemy bank by using 2+ blockers at the same time. Knowing that saves a lot of anguish and realizing when they’re carrying a ton to drain yours, just for you to camp bank and instakill the blockers is a great feeling.
The hunter using blade barrage on a single acolyte was the typical hunter panic super.

Gambit in a nutshell
Gambit is seriously underrated imo. They made PvE into a competitive event, and I for one think that deserves a lot more credit than people give it.
My only gripe with it is the use of Xenophage and Eyes of Tomorrow

I feel your pain. I remember playing Gambit for about 20 straight hours one day trying to get the Dredgen title. After getting the title, I didn’t touch Gambit again for almost 2 years.

I usually only have one or two empty weapon slots each too, but need to make sure to delete crap after every activity and check postmaster a lot 🤣
Idk if this is ocd of me but I don't like having more than two weapons at a time or more than 3 pieces of armor and will only pull the weapons from my vault when I deem it necessary. It drives me nuts seeing more than that at a time.

My perfect gambit loadout is the thorn, adored, and falling guillotine. I wiped an entire enemy team and brought the primeval back from less than 1/3 health all in less than 30 seconds. It was glorious

The main problem about gambit is the difficulty of coming back. The ability to chain invades like in the final game means that you can literally steamroll a team if you are the invader. Getting behind means you get behind more. This is coming from a person who plays the hell out of gambit.

Even getting Breakneck way back when was 40 games, and that was back when each game of gambit was 3 rounds or whatever it was. By the time I got that gun I wanted to die and take the world with me.
I spent 9 hours playing gambit straight 2 weekends ago for an explosive payload bottom dollar and didn't get 1 legendary piece of anything! I thought the game was glitched.

PSA; when no new enemies spawn in got to the previous enemy spawn location...there is usually one left over in a corner preventing a new wave to start.
I tried that once but it had the one pseudo high value target spawning and that was it. And it did it right before the enemy team had primeval while we were neck and neck. We lost because we could barely get motes

I'm one of the few that actually loves Gambit, but I definitely understand the frustrations everyone has with it. If they could fine tune it a little more that would be cool, but I just love being a Dredgen so either way I'm gonna play.

@@torunsmok5890 I finished the guilded seal for this season for Dredgen about 3 weeks ago lol. It can take some time, ESPECIALLY with crappy teams along side you...you just need to play the games. That is the seal I will complete every season 100%.
Gambit is actually fun if you go in with a full group of friends with mics messing around.
Lol last time we did 4 bubbles, whenever an invader came in, he couldn't get a single kill because we were each in our own bubble 😂

If gambit is only fun when you play as a 4 stack then solo Playlist for gambit shouldn't exist. This video though is primarily made for fun, showcased all the problems the gamemode has

The unwritten rule of gambit: Your team will always be a group of glue eating preschoolers and the enemy team will always be consummate professionals that could be easily mistaken for SEAL team 6. This is a law of the universe. EVERY TIME.
I feel like everyone has the same feeling of gambit that I have when I play pvp.
Pvp is fun af, it’s just annoying when you get shit teammates. It’s easy to be good at this game
What annoys me, is when you get to the boss phase really quickly (as in the other team have lost all of their motes entirely due to your blockers ), then all you get is non stop invaded, healing the boss, until the other team catches up then ends up winning as all your team have spent there ammo on the boss which has been healed a million times by now.
The healing is stupid 2 kills and the boss is nearly full health...
don't use super and heavy early on the boss. Take down the envoys, keep an eye on invaders and melt when he leaves
When invades happen team should turn and kill the invader. If at least 2 players turn their focus to the invader, high likelihood the invader dies while only healing the primeval once. As opposed to havin him pick off each teammate while they are tunnelvisioned on the primeval.
@@AdrianDWolfe yes that should he the case, but most people either get the tunnel vision as you said with the boss, or just shit the bed completely when it comes to invaders and panic.
I think there should be a longer cool down on invasions when the boss is up, sometimes its literally non stop, one after another, and theres no way you can keep up with it, even if all the team focuses on the invader, as you then fall behind with the boss.
I do like the mechanic, but it's too potent. There needs to be a chance for a team to make a comeback for sure, but not to the point where it's at now.

Yep. When people are bad at crucible it's always "gEt GoOd!" But when people are bad at Gambit they say it's a terrible game mode and needs to be removed.

The thing with crucible is about balancing weapons and classes, it's not really the player unless they're referring to cheaters. However, in Gambit you get those players that camp invasion portals just to die instantly. You also get those players that refuse to bank motes til they have 15, even if you only need like 3-5 motes to get the primeval, then they barely do any damage.

i genuinely love gambit. add the fact that i play solo all the time. i enjoy defending from invaders and blockers in specific BUUUT when i want to invade, i take my Leviathan's Breath and murk fools like never before. its the only game mode i have ever played that blends pve and pvp. its amazing in my eyes.

I love gambit too, symmetry is basically a power ammo weapon that takes primary ammo when you get 10 dynamic charge or over
I like using scouts and this game mode is where they shine the most imo. That is why I enjoy it
I Love it too- my only issue has been that being a solo player is painful when you go up against constant 4 stack clan members all running messenger pulse rifles XD Just adding a Freelance version of the playlist would fix everything!
It can use other tweaks and a return of gambit mods which were awesome (i deleted my past armor like the fool i am). As you guys have said, the pvp meta means nothing here and those detested long range weapons and snipers are amazing here. #invaders make or break a game

The part where fallout talks about how gambit adds hitting harder than adds in raids hits me hard. I sometimes get melted in gambit by one random add. I wonder if their damage just bugs out and is dialed to 25.

Best Gambit game I've ever played, we were down like 90 motes when they summoned their primeval and we clutched up hard, the people who invaded made sure the primeval health didn't go down and we succeed in summoning our primeval and won with the enemy team's primeval almost dead. It was great I loved that game.

18:02 I've done that with the meme beam. I use it to free up a slot I would otherwise need for invader defense. I can usually have a beam in just over 2 minutes.

It’s kind of crazy how a competent team can devolve into a group of Neanderthals after the first invade. This is why I avoid Gambit like the plague.

Love this man. Working on Malfeasance Quest and am terrified to solo Q because any lost motes are counted -2x what you lost in progress (400 needed and wins), feels like a void armor perk..awesome but shreds your stats.
Gambit is a curse and blessing having a pvp legend on or off your team, they enjoy mixing up your partners. Your misery brought great joy.

ngl a variant of Clash where it's Crucible but there's a chance every couple minutes that there'll be an enemy incursion where pve enemies raid the map and reward bonus points for kills sounds potentially pretty cool.

Scout rifles are prime for invasión if you have good placement and pick your lanes. Got quite a few four bombs with a scout. My special and heavy slots are usually saved for ads, but sometimes I switch my primary real before jumping in the portal to invade. Gjallarhorn (wasn’t out yet when you made this) is one of my faves to invade with, but it’s a balance between using the rockets to dunk on the enemy team or using it on your boss

I just finished two games. I used your Witherhoard, Borrowed Time set up with a rocket launcher. I had 48 motes and 61 kills. Great. Went into the second game, and the game would not give me ammo for the WH nor for the rocket launcher. (A heavy brick fell as the game was in the last 3 or four seconds.) They do this to me all the time. I get a great setup, use it, and they either nerf something or will not give me ammo to let me use it. This is in spite of the fact that I have all of the perks to get the ammo and get it in quantity. The nerf is on me. It is not one that is implemented on an update.
Me, a reckoner, a gilded dredgen every season so far: only 50?!? Those are rookie numbers.
When my husband started that video and I read the title, I said the same, hysterically laughing 😂 And crying 😭 135 matches within two days, blueberries, blueberries everywhere 🤯 the trauma still lives on. Just reset my infamy the 3rd time this season, cause of course they had to add a seasonal challenge again that isn't retroactive 😫

I run double secondary’s and I get heavy drops all the time I litterally switch guns when I invade I get so much heavy from using double secondary, I use middle tester titan and skullfort then I switch to the chest for boss and use a GL and shotgun and either eyes or a sword

@@cudaa73 i hate to ruin the joke, but when the breakneck pinnacle weapon wasn't sunset, autorifles SUCKED. they were not good. they struggled to kill regular enemies and were laughably bad against bosses. the ONE auto rifle that was remotely good was Hard Light, and thats how most people got their Breakneck. i, however, did not have Hard light, so i used a regular-ass Mars auto rifle, and it was torture. utter, and complete torture. BUT! breakneck was so, so unbelievably good in PVE and it was pretty good in pvp, so it was worth it until they nerfed it by making it do LESS damage with each stack of rampage, for some fucking reason

it was crazy hard to finish. it was so hard to finish, in fact, that i literally never stepped back into gambit until recently when they made it 1 round and that was it

I absolutely love Gambit. I usually play about 10 matches a day and run 5 or so overrides as well. Hope they stick around for awhile
Gambito isnt half that bad, its even better with friends because its like pvp but with a lot easier/chiller time as its not pvp 100% of the time, I loved it so much I forced 3 of my friends to play gambit and said they were being held hostage until we got the Protect the Runner as it was the final medal me and another needed for the title, to this day I love it to hell and back, sadge they took out the normal gambit mode and combined the two tho

I honestly think people seem to hate it because... Nobody likes it. Nobody likes it so nobody gets good at it so nobody takes the time to discover it's true potential. It's an endless cycle.
Plus Bungie has basically ignored the gamemode for a while now.

Well, if YOU banked 98 motes, I'm not remotely surprised. Everyone else has to do absolutely nothing for one person to bank that many motes.

Fun fact I did over 90% primeval damage, did most of the slaying, banked most motes, killed most blockers, killed the invader a few times maybe not most, invaded myself with a few kills. I probaly did EVERYTHING!! And yes we won but by a dam pixel lenght of health bar. My clanmate wasnt very usefull with hes eyes of tomorrow no armor mods combo. Other 2 were just feeding the invaders and dropping as much motes as they can. Unbelieveble how tryhard I need for a win. And even then i lose at least 70% of the time while ofcourse the top dog 70% of the time!!
Idk what drives me more crazy, blueberries holding all motes to send a big blocker or ignoring the heavy ammo guy who just wants to invade with a freaking jotun..
