- We take an in depth look at the reef off the shore of Church Bay. With aerial footage and underwater footage we try to give you a good idea what you can expect, and where the reef location is.
Church Bay is located in the South Hampton Parish of Bermuda. Easily accessed via bus # 7. This place can get crowded, but snorkeling is great when you get out to the reef.

Opening shot was filmed at Horse Shoe Bay, all other shots with the exception of the moped ride, and bus stop were filmed at Church Bay.
A great place to stretch out after being on a Cruise Ship ( Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise, Princess Cruise, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise, etc.). - Hudba

There are a lot of great places to Snorkel in Bermuda. Its a great island, an just over a two hour flight from Toronto..makes it a nice quick place to visit. Sand is so soft here. Man I miss it already.

Great vid you guys! Man, this reminds me of Roatan...
Skeeter, we were in ROATAN 8 years ago. We snorkeled and dove everyday and loved it there. This reef does remind me of Roatan too, but ROatan was SOOOO GOOOD.. That is cool you were there too. For us it is a quick flight to Bermuda..only 2 hours from TO..so it is a great place to visit with the kids. plus my room mate in my UNI days is from Bermuda

Sounds like this maybe a perfect location for you. It can get expensive, but we look for basement apartments to rent on VRBO, and can travel here for fairly cheap...or we travel with other couples and split the cost on larger units, which is always more fun. Beaches are great, snorkelling is good, and cliff jumping is always fun.

How far is Church Bay from the airport...time in a taxi to get there. I have a short layover and would like go to here!
My parents and I are planning to take me on a cruise to Bermuda next year in the summer!!! And iam planning to go snorkeling in Bermuda and I have never seen a real coral reef and my goal in life is to see a real coral reef!!! Any places where in Bermuda to snorkel at and see a coral reef and tropical fish?
Definetly Patrick! Church Bay is a great place to see the reef, and tropical fish. Are you a strong swimmer? If so, follow my directions to the reef in this vid. The reef is large, and there are a ton of tropical fish here. Tobacco Bay, is also a great place to see reef and tropical fish. Also, you can find a lot of Parrot fish and tropical fish at Horseshoe Bay. As you enter Horse shoe bay beach turn right and walk to the rock outcrops. Dive into this small bay and you will find fish. Elbow Beach, is also a good spot to see some Parrot fish. Have a great time snorkelling in Bermuda!
Can you rent snorkels in Church bay or did you bring your own?
Dude, felt like I was watching a travel show on Travel and Escape or OLN! But, man, you need to get some fins to maximize your snorkeling ability...
Sweet! Got the fins, but they didn't fit in the golf bag. This is one sport where they would be super handy! A little swim out to the reef. Saw a bunch of Bone's here one evening. Next time, no clubs, a rod, and fins!

Is it far from Kings Warf?
It is closer to Church Bay from Kings Warf than Horseshoe bay. It is definitely not walking distance! Maybe a 20 to 25 minute bus ride away.
@@21Swayzee I don't how is the bus service functioning in Bermuda.
@@Ahuntsicspotter its great, you will see a bus pass by every 15 minutes, or every half hour...if you are on a large cruise the bus will fill up quickly. Lots of taxis too!
