Where can I go online to see the full movie, "Born in Bristol" with Dolly Parton and Vince Gill?

The Birthplace of Country is BRISTOL, TENNESSEE and NOT Bristol, Virginia. The first recordings took place at 408 State Street, Bristol, TENNESSEE.. Bristol, Va has tried its best to HIJACK the title from Bristol, TN and has succeeded to have the Country Music Museum built on the Virginia side of town.

95 years since The Bristol Sessions, I got the impression that musicians traveled not only from Virginia and Tennessee but also from other regional jurisdictions. I don't know if the museum's siting decision was impacted by which state offered more financial support, that is a possibility. The Bristol region is unique from the viewpoint of outsiders, but for locals I'm sure the rivalry is a sore point.

You forgot/missed very important roots. AP Carter gathered, improved and produced so many of the songs of the Tennessee and lots of other hill homesteads, that he and his brood also sung so well they should have been mentioned in your list. Maybe you forgot? Seems unlikely, but whatever man. ps, ditto M.J.

No sir, I did not forget/miss the very important roots. This is only one segment of the documentary. Also this was not a documentary on the Carter Family. This was focused on the Historic Bristol Sessions. Thank you for watching.

Riddle did NOT influence Maybelle Carter! The Carter's didn't meet Riddle until December 1928. A full year and a half after the initial Bristol sessions. By that time Maybelle's guitar style was fully developed. You can hear it on the original Bristol sessions and on Wildwood Flower in May 1928. This is just historical gossip. There is literally no historical evidence to suggest otherwise.
