Can anyone else see the irony of a man singing a song about how love means nothing to the objects of his affections stood in the centre of a runway of supermodels? Just seems sweetly and deliciously apt. Hey when has the fashion industry ever used it's brain?
I honestly think by that time the band stopped being a band, and it was really just the Jay Kay show. The dude was young and I think he just wanted to have a bit more control, rather than being just the touring bassist
Fashion models are by and large, hideous to watch. The men and women all usually have weird faces, guess the quirkiness helps because if they were all pretty, nobody would look at the clothes.
Respect to all those who got up and danced....the kind of behaviour that is appreciated when a great talent like Jay is performing.
