    This fly has been called the Carslberg by so many anglers in the world because of the success they have had with it..
    If Carslberg made dry flies then this would probably be the best dry fly in the world.....

    Great pattern no need for a million bells and whistles forgive my ignorance as I’ve never used squirrel on dry flies but I would assume the squirrel is just there for the leggy profile and the cdc is the main floating element

    Really like this fly Dave, I've only just seen it and I've watched loads of your videos. What do you recommend to keep the cdc floating ? After a few fish I find it sinks. Any tips please? Thanks Dave

      I just dry it with my shirt and off it goes again, to be honest some cdc is bad and getting as natural as possible is best as the oils are what you need, dont relly use anythign on them at all just good cdc

    I find it hard to get my fox squirrel to look as spiky as yours does.Unless i use the split thread & spin the dubbing technique.My wax isn't very sticky either.Can you recommend a good sticky wax.Lovely flies .Thank you Dave

    I am using a wax by a guy called Brian Burnett if you search his name hes a salmon fly dresser u maybe get some from him :) is great and dubb it on lightly
