      do you know what max out means ? it means to get to the point where it’s so easy you stop making gains. you don’t do 10 pushups and struggle you eventually get it, becomes to easy so you bump it up. Staying on the same weights and not pushing your limits won’t give you gains lmfao. PF is good for beginners or people who’re getting their foot in the door, old people to.

Once I max out, maybe go back to Gold's. I had a great gym, can't complain about 10 a month for PF fee. Any advise from weightlifters or bodybuilders at PF? Do's and dont's. It is as a matter of fact about the weight, you have to lift 6-15 reps to make optimal growth and if you’re not going until failure while being in that rep range you won’t grow as fast as if you did. You’re SUPPOSED to lift as heavy as you can for said amount of reps

    • @MADAOSushi
      @MADAOSushi Před 9 měsíci

      @@vonicrimson3619 What you're talking about is the rep range for hypertrophy and rep to failure/hitting that last two rep struggle. The only reason I commented is because 75lbs is plenty for 99% of gym goers and shouldn't deter them from going to PF.
      I doubt this dude is doing 75lb db incline bench for 15 reps and even if he were able to,
      he could get to failure off of maybe 2 additional reps or adding a tempo change. If he plateaus at PF, it's unlikely due to 75lb DBs
      Time under tension with optimal ROM will create growth. Try a a lift that's under what you are capable of and do a 4040temp, full rom. 15rep versus what you've been doing and you'll hit failure.
      If you're going for building purely strength, it's a bit different.

    A set of six isn't a real set. I see with your dumbbell press you only do 4. Try doing them correctly and I guarantee you won't get up twice. So it appears you have many years of Planet Fitness ahead of you. I would recommend going to a real gym long enough to have someone show you how to maximize your lifting. Just be aware they will probably tell you to put your phone away and get serious about lifting first.

    I don't think the max weight of dumbbells is what makes a gym "suck". PF is a budget gym for the absolute beginner and up to intermediate level. I would guess that the clientele and the "lunk alarm" is much more disliked, no?
    Makes sense they didn't spend a lot of money on the very heaviest weights when they would almost never be used.
    But I get it. Criticizing PF is the lowest hanging fruit there is, as "everyone" agrees they are the worst. Which they might well, be, I don't know, they don't have PF in my country.
    Just seems like very basic content.

    Or do a home gym, I would say get your beginning setup from Walmart but if you want long lasting products that are good quality but aren't a 50,000+ setup, I would recommend getting your stuff from titan fitness, my entire home gym besides a few items is all titan fitness, I would recommend a $5,000-$20,000 budget, so just stay at planet fitness until you save up

    It seems as though the majority of Planet Fitness complainers are men, which is understandable because men are built to lift far heavier weights than women. But as a woman, I love Planet Fitness. I'm not looking to pick up something as heavy as an SUV. I just want to have the ability to lift like 40lbs without injuring myself. $10 a month is a crazy good deal!
