I love that Crowley is always so offended when anyone suggests he has any ownership over the bookshop, but he'll still protect it like it's his own. Like David Tennant said, it's clearly his favorite place, even if he'd never admit it. And of course, what's important to Aziraphale tends to be important to Crowley, by extension.
*That’s* when I saw Crowley’s selfless love for Azi - when he saved the books from the bombed church - not because C valued books, but because A does! ❤ And *that* matters to Crowley!

I don’t know why but Crowley being the only demon can enter the bookshop is something really deep tho it’s really on the surface. I believe Aziraphale inviting Crowley should have been such an intimate moment we could just think of (not for Azi, of course, he wouldn’t feel that, it’s obvious for him). And now, when the bookshop is literally a Crowley’s too, it is like a fortress and Crowley will protect it for them two for all costs. I’m sure he is proud the door of it is always opened for him and only for him.
I hadn’t thought of that! Azi lets Crowley into the bookshop, but C can also come and go on his own. No other demon can, since the bookshop is an “embassy” of heaven. Hmm. Was that where they were standing when Azi says to C, “Get thou behind me, foul fiend! … After you!”😅 Was that C’s first entry into the bookshop? Or was that a restaurant?? I agree; I don’t recall his permission being made much of onscreen.
I love how much crowley genuinely wants maggie and nina to be together, his little smile through the window! ❤️👿🥰 Please let there be a season 3! 🙏😇👿
3:56 Can we talk about the fact that even though Crowley and Shax aren’t on the best terms (I mean obviously it’s a serious situation going on) and Crowley is still mad that he can’t live in his flat because Shax is there, it‘s interesting to see that he is willing to just answer her random question as if nothing ever happened. I wonder if it has something to do with Crowley remembering how awful it is not to get questions answered (pre-fall situation here) so he is willing to answer any normal questions or if it’s just because deep down he is actually a nice person…maybe both.

Is the Metatron the Tempest that Gabriel was referring to during his trance?
I have serious suspicions about the Metatron and whether they're really speaking for God or planning to oust them.
I think the tempest is part of Revelations/the Second Coming (but *love* the lyrical allusion of him *being* the tempest). I definitely agree, though, that Metatron is up to something... If not a full-on coup, then definitely at least machinations to control as much of the universe as he can without God smiting him out of existence. He had to separate our heroes for a reason (and the way he glares at Crowley like he's a threat...).
@@ariaflame-au As Aziraphale said in season 1, the Metatron speaks for God the same way that a president's spokesman speaks for a president. So if you say something to the Metatron, you can only hope that he decides to relay your words to God. And if the Metatron says something to you, claiming those are God's words, you have to believe it because you have no way to verify it. Because God doesn't speak to anyone else but him.
At least that's the impression I got watching both seasons. Aziraphale and Crowley were extremely surprised to see that God talked to Job, as if God never talked to them - or to anyone else for that matter. So I doubt God talks to any other angels.
It's also possible she doesn't talk to the Metatron either, so he just pretends she is, but he's in fact pushing his own agenda and God doesn't care enough to do anything about it. But it is equally possible the Second Coming really is God's plan, and not just the plan of angels. The way God was portrayed during her chat with Job doesn't exactly paint her in a good light, so destruction of Earth is something she really may be planning.
@@KnittinKitten1 I think the Metatron didn't like Crowley when he was still an angel. For him he was that annoying guy who asked too many questions. Crowley might also have been quite powerful as an angel (even as a demon he seems to be more powerful than Aziraphale) and definitely very smart. That makes him a dangerous opponent and the Metatron doesn't want to underestimate him. Hence why he offered him a job as Aziraphale's right hand. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
It's also not out of the realm of possibility that God had once been indeed intrigued by angel Crowley's questions and suggestions, and maybe even toyed with the possibility of creating a suggestion box. And that the Metatron did something to prevent all that because he perceived another angel who could possibly influence God as a dangerous rival.
But given how God was characterized in Good Omens, especially in season 2, it's more likely that angel Crowley just extremely pissed her off with his questions (he was essentially saying she was doing a bad job and God doesn't seem to like criticism) and that she gladly cast him down to Hell. On the other hand, it's been thousands of years, God may have evolved and changed her mind about a lot of things. But she may have not...
