Solvalou it does look safe for daily driving plus the insurance would crazy high so more likely will be for drifting.
I have owned this car for a while now but plan to do 1jz swap and cd009 6 speed and lsd. But i do not plan to drift this car. I just want to build a reliable medium power super sedan for bombing highways. Want to keep stock interior and exterior. I have an ae86 i want to use at the track.

The retractable cupholders are so cool. Didn't know cars from the 80s even had cupholders. And the retractable AC controls for the air blower position is over-engineering. Thanks for sharing all the little quirks, which would've otherwise gone unnoticed.
Corona Mark II was sold in the US in 1969. Then with the MX32 they renamed it the Cressida for many export markets.

Such a cool looking car outside, but it's even better inside - that combination of the maroon and the digi dash is excellent. Throw a more tasteful steering wheel in there (a Nardi perhaps?) and it'd look even better. Shame about the cigarette burns.

Looks like a more aggressive/sporty version of the US market Cressida. Which basically it is. Car is remarkable shape for the age though, looks really clean and I love those period correct BBS wheels. Dude who ordered them I'm sure was like "Give me the biggest wheel possible!!!" Also I swear that's the same interior from a Mark III Supra. Dash looks very similar, seats and seat material look the same.

Many people have and want the rear window visor and we have sold them before. They are not hard to find at all. But the right one needs to be bought to fit the particular GX60 models and GX71 models and GX81 models outside of Japan.
I love the red interior it's super rare to find it in a jzx81 it's freaking beautiful and I hope it doesn't become a drift missile
the rear window visors are really rare (finding one with the mounting brackets too) and getting expensive. upwards of $500 now. I got one for my jzx81 when they were cheap.
I wonder why the Mark IIs are so much more popular than the Chasers or Crestas

In my country the government has shity law that you can not import older then 5 years model. Hate that. Otherwise believe me over here people just love those old models
America has the opposite law. We cannot import anything newer than 25 years old.

Painted it to yellow to become NYC TAXI. Also can be seen on Crazy Rich Asians about NYC Airport scene. Instead of filming in New York, they filmed at Kuala Lumpur Airport played the role as JFK Airport, on that movie.
And also US Spec Toyota Cressida used as Fake HK Taxi in Chicago. Played the role as Hong Kong from the film, Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Enjoy your presentation of these vehicles. That duct on the rear roof spoiler is help keep the rear glass clear of debris by forcing air down over the glass along with the rear wiper to clean it off course. Will be looking into getting a JDM car soon. Any Celica GT-Four's in the foreseeable future? I'll be looking out for em! Thx :)

89 1g gte has 210hp at 6200rpm and 202lbft torque at 3800rpm. And 1g isnt known for blown headgasket.
The 1ggte/ge and gze died out after the intro of the 1jz in 1990-1991... The 1gfe soldiered on until 2005... The altezza got the upgraded 1gfe with vvt (sometimes refer to as the BEAMS) unlike the previous gen 1gfe as well as the GE/GTE/GZE that were non interference engines the beams were interference

never trust a 80s-90-2000s Toyota with it's key alone it will look you out straight away i have tried it before in a few Toyota's as soon as you close the door it locks up i usually make sure a window is open and when i do it never locks only when the windows are closed looks like something evil goes on but i still trust them all the time
