It's actually really good. There was so many ways this could have looked rubbish but it doesn't. They did an excellent job. Despite how annoying music videos are that look horrible I do understand sometimes that's down to what the CZcamsrs can do etc. But this is no ordinary youtuber music video. The quality is insane. I am do glad they were able to do it this way because well once upon a time is just epic so needs to be given the respect it deserve & well they have certainly done that. I mean obviously they couldn't do it like really good extra professional quality but for what they could do they did it very well. Obviously not as professional as a top, top producer or something could do but definitely way better than a standard youtuber music video.
This is brilliant . I mean everyone except Regina looked similar to the original actors . And the magic mirror and Rumple scene was perfect .
Also, some serious talent in Hookâs actor/singer who is recreating the singing accent of an Irish man using an English-y pirate accent. Props.

I didn't notice this the first time around, but the actress for Regina did an even better job as her than I thought. Because she _sings_ like Lana Parrilla did in the musical episode of the original show. Lana talked about how she pushed her lower register and made every word she sung strain in her throat and have a growl because the Queen was being forced to sing and so she acted like the music was being ripped from her unwillingly. That is so cool that this actress replicated that sound!

The cast of Once Upon A Time would be proud. It's less likely, but they should make two more music videos that cover the middle and end of the series.
One that has Hook and Emma singing together and Zelena and Regina for the ending. Wonder if they could add Henry for a future one if they do any.

The way these actors captured, not only the characters voices, but also their expressions and mannerisms. Like Snow White's smiley-eyes and Regina's intense enunciation and finger curls
Love this song. I am still shocked at how identical Regina & Rumple look and sound like the actual actors who played in the show. The guy who plays Killian sounds exactly like the actor too. Well done and keep up the good work on the videos Pattycake.

I would pay Broadway prices to see a full show of this. The cast was absolutely brilliant and so talented! And those costumes/sets/props/effects? Sooooooo good!
I mean. That's probably pretty possible. There are a lot of musicals in this modern day and age based on pre-established stuff. The Beetlejuice Musical, The Percy Jackson musical, The Wicked musical, etc.
So it's definitely not out of the question. And I always thought it was kind of weird that Once Upon a Time didn't have that much music in general considering it was based on fairy tales.
But my POOF effect is still better, although I dream of using the same one as in Once Upon a Time

I love that line "Only in the darkness can you leave your life defined" because it took the individual darknesses of each character that were able to find their true selves and truly live in their Once Upon a Time. Clever song writing!

Whoever composed this song's instrumental is a genius.
3:24 "Only in the darkness, can you change your fate defined by Once Upon a Time."
This is a really powerful line, because it really goes to show how Regina didn't want to be the villain or the Evil Queen, but that what happened between her and Snow White was always destined to happen, so she was always destined by fate to become the evil queen. And this line is her being self aware that she is the villain and was fated to be the villain, and that she can only change her fate by being evil, and giving herself her happy ending by force. She doesn't want to do all of this, but if fate wants her to be the villain and have a bad ending, then the only way to change that is by taking action, no matter who gets hurt in the process.
This sounds just like Elphabaâs dilemma in Wicked! đ

Well, their forest is a tree farm, and they tell you that the ship is at Pirate's Island....I'd love to know where they shot Regina's castle scenes, though--that is spot on and much harder to recreate than Rumple's cage!

The one playing Regina looks and acts exactly like her. Down to the facial expressions.
Actually yeah it is a pretty good match. Even the look is almost exact. Obviously when it comes to wigs sometimes it is almost impossible not to get them to look fake. But apart from that it really did work!
