  • We really enjoyed the second version of this shoe but had some problems with the upper. All that has changed and we're all in on this shoe. This is a really enjoyable lightweight shoe that we think a lot of people will fall in love with. The price point may be a little high for some, but there's a lot to love about it, including the fact that you can wear it out in public and not look like a suburban dad. Releases February 1 for $160.

  • @RobertHarridge
    @RobertHarridge Před 2 lety +1

    I think I’d lean more toward the Nimbus 24 because of the FF Blast+, which there was a little bit of that in the Kinsei Blast, which I love, but for the price, it’s hard to beat the Novablast 2 at $130. Even if Asics brought the price down to $120 to compete with the Pegasus, it would cost the same price as the new Cumulus (which has FFBlast) and the Novablast. They should have kept it at $150, or even gone $140. It looks like a good shoe, but that Kinsei Blast (though a bit bonkers) is super comfortable.

    I'd like to see Asics add a blak tread. Shoes like this that just puts a tread mold into the midsole e.g. most HOKA shoes....seems unfinished to me. ..Don't know why ALL shoes don't have a "tread layer"...

  • @MiracleWarriors

    I did not get great durability in the outsole of a few Asics in 2021. Like the Nova Blast 1 , Gel-Cumulus 23, Gel-Nimbus 23 and especially the GlideRide 2 that the rubber ( even in the heel area !) desappeared in less then 100 miles.
    It seems that Asics is changing the components of their AHAR+ next year even if the design is not changing. Hopefully the durability will increase.
    This Nimbus Lite 3 for that price and probably coming with this same 2021 's rubber ... I pass .

      @@Believeintherun I have right now 76kg ( ~167 pounds) . In 2020 I was 3kg heavier and still my Cumulus and Nimbus 22 lasted near 200 km more then the 23rd version.
      I got and have used about 12 running shoes in 2021 and only my Asics rarely pass 300 km. My Nike Vomero 15 & Pegasus 38 Mizuno WR 25/,Sky Neo 2 all passed easily 500 km and the outsole were still usable for running. I got this month my Adidas Adizero Adios 6 and it has already 120km and the outsole is New .
      I either had extremely bad luck with my Asics ... I'm a fan of the brand but I'm getting sick if paying a lot cash for their shoes and all of them have either bad outsole or upper durability.

      @saramims1592 Před 2 lety +1

      @@MiracleWarriors I'm 5'5 and 123 lbs. I had outsole rubber loss/wear major on the Nimbus Lite 1. That was disappointing. I really like the Flytefoam and it noticeably got dead around 300 miles but I pushed to 400 and that was too much because they were gone. The upper was too big for my narrow feet and seemed to stretch out more over time. I didn't try 2nd version due to ugly women colors. I am an Asics fan and may give the Lite 3 or the Nimbus 24 a try. My Novablast 1 are also a bit big in the upper but I like the FF Blast (outsole has held bit better than the Nimbus 1).

    • @MiracleWarriors
      @MiracleWarriors Před 2 lety

      @@saramims1592 if Asics wants to follow New Balance and Saucony's footsteps by making amazing lightweight and super comfortable running shoes but that don't last too long ... Go ahead then , but Asics used to be like Mizuno where their shoes last 600 miles minimum .
      Anyways, for a change , I will start 2022 with a high cushioning shoe from Adidas . Just not sure between the Adistar or the Ultraboost 22 but I know that the outsole will last on both ...

      @@b_fitnik Yea I totally agree. NB adverts their discount but it never works when you try to actually apply it. I'm really digging what ASICS does for service discounts, the work they do with NAMI, and how they are using mostly recycled materials on all of their shoes now without sacrificing performance. They just have a really decent vibe all in all and for someone who qualifies for their discounts it makes it really hard to spend my money anywhere else. I jumped on that 50% too and also picked up Magic Speeds last week for that crazy price. Grateful.
