- Attempting to disprove charges against her husband, a wife investigates on her own.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater (a.k.a. Radio Mystery Theater and Mystery Theater, sometimes abbreviated as CBSRMT) is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed.
The format was similar to that of classic old time radio shows like The Mysterious Traveler and The Whistler, in that the episodes were introduced by host E. G. Marshall who provided pithy wisdom and commentary throughout. Unlike the hosts of those earlier programs, Marshall is fully mortal, merely someone whose heightened insight and erudition plunge the listener into the world of the macabre (in a manner similar to that of "The Man in Black" on yet another old time radio program, Suspense). I love to listen to these mystery stories every day
I listen to the CBS radio mystery theater on you tube videos on my TV every night just to remind me my memories when I was a kid in the 1970s. Thank you for putting the radio shows back on CZcams. Crystal Jones 7-17-22

OMG, I finally found it!!!! I loved listening to these in the car with my mum in her way back home from work. During the winter they were especially scary because we always to the slower back roads home, which were already scary during the daylight!!!!
Thank you for carrying these!! 💯💖

This was a good one. The ending could go different ways.
Great story - loved it! Thanks for uploading it!
II love listening to these kind of plays in bed …but …. The very creepy , creaking door sounds at the start put me right off … so i had to stop ✋
Best listen to it... it's all ok lol 🙂
I know, me too over time, so now I just skip past that part.
It would make a great ad for WD40! 😂
@@annengaruiya3038 it's creepy , but it's a chair scraping a wooden floor , as the door refused to make the sound the producer wanted .
The ' creaking door' , is not a door .
The door wouldn't make the sound the producer wanted . Someone pushed a chair back over a wooden floor , it was the sound the producer wanted for the opening .
Enjoyable story! 👍👍
Great 👍
Ķept guessing to the end. A little room for imagination, without being right in front of you..
Before the end, I suppose it is all about his friend Bert?
In for another helping of decent entertainment , for which one must utilisezes imagination - a scarce resource these days , with a screen to do what minds cannot do to often these days .
📻😀💕
