Poutine is generally tops for me but enjoying Nanaimo Bars on a warm afternoon OR (for adults) on a cold evening with the fire going and a glass of your favorite alcoholic beverage (I like them with either port or Canadian whiskey). If there's a #6...I'm looking forward to enjoying my first Beavertails this coming year. 8 times in Canada and never had one yet, can you believe it!
I'm U.S American (latino) born and raised , but i can honestly say that Canada, and Canadians should be the leader and example of this planet , i have nothing but respect towards Canadians.

this is so spot on. i agree that we canadians love these foods. it boggles me why they're not popular all over the world. it's literally the best food.
Nice! It is surprising that at least some of these haven't made their way more globally. Although I did find a poutine place in Melbourne once...not the same though without real cheese curds though haha 🧀
Canadians seem really similar to New Zealanders. We are always saying sorry. I found Canadians friendly and helpful when a visited a few years ago. I've heard that Australia is more like the states.
Wow, that's such great timing! Welcome to London! I hope you enjoy living there and trying all these foods. Let me know which you like best and please feel free to write me for any other London tips - it's my hometown :) My email is eileenaldis@gmail.com

I would agree. Any food that's some combination of savory, smoky, salty, sweet. Any or all five of their top 5 hit on this formula and I agree Beaver Tails and maple syrup would be great here as well. Looking fwd to my QC trip for tourtière, smoked meat, poutine, Sortilege, etc.

Hello Eileen, I must say that I am in love with your channel, every video is of an amazing quality, until you take the time to put subtitles in Spanish. Your channel should have a million subscribers. Greetings from Mexico.
Wow, thank you so much! That's amazing to hear and totally makes my day :) Very happy to hear you enjoy our videos! We're so grateful to have a wonderful viewer (who has since become a friend!) help us with Spanish subtitles. Greetings to you and thanks again!
This video came up on a the sidebar while I was watching another video. I really wanted to see what you think people should try when they come to Canada and then BAM you're from my hometown. 😂 In the brief moments before you started talking I thought the park in the background looked familiar! haha I live in England now, so it was nice to watch this and have some hometown and homeland familiarity! You've really made me crave a poutine now!
Hey Eileen! I've been here about three months now. I live in a town about an hour north of London, but I am still trying to figure out where I want to settle. I'm considering Liverpool! My mum just sent me a package actually and i've got a bag of ketchup chips that's calling my name.👌🏻
That's fun that you're figuring out your next move! 🇬🇧 I love England - have never been to Liverpool though! That's so awesome that your Mom sent a care package. Enjoy those ketchup chips....now I'm craving some too haha 🤤
Proper poutine is made with fresh cheese curds. Fresh cheese curds, are illegal in US as cheese must be aged 60 days or more to kill the bacteria in the US. So poutine is essentially illegal in the US.
I'm a Canadian and I've never had poutine. Growing up on the west coast it just wasn't a thing and now that I'm older I'm more conscious of what I eat. Having said that, the poutine at Popeyes Louisiana Chicken would be the one I'd try if I wasn't in Quebec.
Ahh, I may have seen & thinking of this video, when Marc described the poutine as "squidgy", just like you did in the Belarus-food video to call the Babka "squidgy",.. That's too funny. THe Nanaimo bars are very much something that has to be exclusively Canadian, as I'm betting most anyone in the US hasn't heard of them, unless having spent time visiting around up there. Butter Tarts are yet another dessert that we've never heard of, being south of the border of there. Finally, your 'Tiger Tail' ice cream, sounds interesting, but as I'm totally not a fan of black licorice, so debatable to want to try it. I'd try a very small spoon of it once I think but that's it. Anyway, I loved watching the video. Take care.
I am Canadian and i am literally eating poutine while watching this. Also I’m going thru the comments and i saw so many comments like “poutine á tarte paurè 🙄😒” like what the heck does that mean

poutine, all the way! Though I have had some delicious burgers over the years. Bison, seal, moose...
Wow, I think that qualifies as adventurous eating...! I'm with you on the poutine but it's hard to choose :)
Number 1, poutine !!!!! There is a place in Chatham here that has pulled pork poutine as well as other varieties, it is absolutely delicious !
