- Back in 2014, troubadour Kendji Girac walked onto The Voice stage in France. Kendji, with his guitar, sang Bella during his Blind Audition, and only Coach Mika pressed his button. Mika couldn’t believe none of the other coaches turned! The other coaches must have scratched their heads at the end of the season, as Kendji was crowned The Voice of France 2014! And how people being part of the music business for years can become so blind for talent and what the regular people would like to hear, the only one who turned for such an exceptional song and performance, was the guy who probably saw a bit of himself in Kenji. 😵
@@chucky90s Imagine standing for your first time in front of a four digit audience, four musical celebrities, the entire country behind the TVs and being aware tgay all of CZcams, incl. family, friends and coworkers eventually being able to see the performance you're about to give.
Not to mention having your entire future riding on remembering every line, every note, playing the guitar and having both "instruments" harmonise perfectly while trying to look as if you're currently enjoying an especially fine glass of wine doing it, all the while a single button being pressed by people who couldn't care less for your future wealth because they already have enough money to last two lifetimes, deciding the path of your entire future life on a whim or a gut feeling will always hang as Damokles' sword above you. 🤔
Now.. Just do it better than him and we'll shut up immediately.. Forever. 😂

Amazing. I don't speak the language, only a few words, but i could feel the emotion in his songs. His pronunciation of mad world was phenomenal. So very talented, beautiful tone, eyes one can get lost in and just so much passion. When he carries a not it sounds so amazing. Glad he made it, he deserves every bit of recognition he gets. Bravo!!!! The last song with his coach...... chills up and down my spine. So gentle, beautiful and full of emotion!

Just saw all his performances and he is amazing and pretty easy on the eyes. In each performances he gave it all except the mad world song. I feel like he was insecure since he probably don't know much English. But besides that all his performances were magnificent. The way he dances so cute. It looks like he's been one of the most successful in his country. Love when they get the support. We need more talents like him.

i have to disagree with everyone who says that his look is what made him pass, he is one of the most successful the voice singer after the voice. He released an Album which was top 4 in France. His song les yeux de la maman is one of the best French songs out there. He is not just a pretty face he got talent. He won the voice because he had a voice. Some of the contestants sang his songs on the voice.

I remember I found him from his video clip in CZcams singing Bella with his friends and family, and thought he's very good. Then I later knew that he did the audition on the Voice France which was shocked me a bit but so glad for him that Mika chose him.
