Marvel Rivals is an upcoming hero shooter video game developed and published by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games. The game is set to release for Microsoft Windows and macOS. The game will be a free-to-play game with a current line up of eighteen characters from Marvel Comics.

I defended the web swinging in Marvel's Avengers, because it was a game not built around Spider-Man so I wasn't expecting much...but DAMN this looks pretty good.
I’d say they should’ve just let spidey web zip. It makes the gameplay & characters consistent. While offering enough choices to flow in and out of battle.
Edit: I understand why they did keep web slinging bc someone would complain about it.

The only thing I defended for Marvel's Avengers' Spider-Man was his costume designs. They looked really neat but everything else just looked painful. The swinging could have been faster because it feels like he's struggling to carry his own body weight when swinging.

There's no room for him to actually swing whatsoever, he's bumping into things with every swing/web zip and the weblines attach to whatever the hell they feel like.

Because of the design of the maps, he doesn't have the freedom to swing around, and he can only do this 3 times before needing to recharge the skill.

First day of the alpha and I'm already getting shit on by spidermans. I don't even know if they're good players but they're just so fast that it's impossible to keep track of them.

Props where props are due
The simple act of moving around looks so much better than Marvel’s Avengers
It’s so dynamic and fluid I hope the rest of the characters will be like this
The swing doesnt look too bad, definitely kinda janky. I think its cause theres no sense of momentum, you walk so slowly and even if youre running or falling the speed of the swing is always the same
So Spidey is gonna be a bit like Genji. Easy to traverse, but actually combat a little more challenging
this has got to do well with gamers not like suicide squad it just looks so epic
nothings gonna be as smooth as the standalone games but this is the closest to that I've seen

Oh so hes basically like kenji from ow but this time he swing around and dodge
(Note i havent played the alpha just going off of everything ive seen so far) So i know we all want his weblines to hit structures to make it look real, but i think some of us can agree that mechanic kinda hinders the webswinging, especially when swinging so low and theirs not really alot of true momentum to it. We may need uncle ben to hold us for the swinging to function a bit more

Seer speed alone for Spidy swinging is amazing but I say the wall climb passive is really clunky.

they should have given him the ability to shoot out a web while hanging on to another like in spiderman 2 (2004) to help him navigate tight spaces.
The swinging itself is good. The thing is there is just no space to swing, map is way too small. That's why it is not working as much in my opinion.

From the looks of it, the web slinging has potential, but the map is too small for Spider-Man to properly web sling without hitting a wall half the time.
This needs to come to the PS5. Again cursing the fact I don't have a high end PC

suit is epic and tbh gameplay is not bad tho
suit looks like trash to me but i hate all of the designs in this game. the game itself is also super derivative and is being made by a team that doesn't have a good track record when it comes to long-term support. i have a bad feeling this game is gonna die very quickly
