London Day Out #2 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Buckingham Palace & Westminster Abbey

With the sun shining and the temperature well into the 20’s by 10am we made our way to Buckingham Palace. The place was packed for the changing of the guard ceremony. This takes place every two days and see the new regiment of guards bought over with military band in tow from the barracks located nearby. Shortly afterwards we made our way to Westminster Abbey for our pre-booked visit of this unique piece of British history. Once inside we made our way through the burial sites of numerous Kings, Queens, Politicians, Religious figures, poets, scientists, musicians as well as explorers and notable military personal from years past. This place is where Kings and Queens have been crowned since 1066 and is an exceptional work of architectural genius.
