Because I just purchased the coconut original pods, Freddo Intenso, freddo delicate, scuro, chiaro, and I’m so excited since you named a few that I got! I like your video. Like you, I like to be adventurous with my coffee toying with different kind of syrup and plant base milk. However, I'm so new to nespresso. I just got myself a Essenza Mini. Your video has given so much tips. Of cos, only a few capsules are not available in my country.

Yes, it's true: long coffees have more caffeine than Espresso and even more than Ristretto.
Here in Italy a lot of people order a Ristretto thinking that's it's stronger, but it's a mistake.
The coffee with the most amount of caffeine is the filtered one 😊

I've tried la cumplida refinada as a lungo from the OL and I really enjoy it! It's definitely not watered down, and I don't even need syrup with it. I just made it hot with the extra creamy oat milk.

I just bought a machine from the Original line (my Vertuo is being repaired) and I was wondering if I could brew either the lungo or espresso with any of the capsules and you just answered my question. I enjoy all your coffee videos, my coffee drinks never look as appetizing as yours.

For whatever reason I ended up watching this video again as I was choosing some new coffee. I always thought I hated the Nicaragua flavor but bought it again and so glad I did. I really enjoy it on ice and as the espresso :) …

Cereal notes for coffee just mean it brings out the smells of bread or breakfast cereals or even smells of fruits such as walnuts hazelnut or almonds even cherry notes. The cereal note coffees and espressos are my favorite ones I’ve tried

OMG, you are my Nespresso go-to GIRLLLLL!!! I'm new to the Nespresso neighborhood and always find your videos sooo helpful. I have the Essenzi mini in black and Aeroccino 3. I'm always wondering which capsules to buy. I'm trying all the flavors that I "might" like, then I will just order the ones I love. You always give such useful information. My lattes can be described as coffee-flavored milk, I use half& half instead of milk, I think that's called a breve? But I like iced lattes too. I was getting them at Dunkin, but it was breaking me, 2 and 3 times a week, I tell you. Now they are wondering what happened to me 😆. I have a Keurig and drip coffee maker, but they just weren't cutting it for me. Now I happily brew my lattes at home and am loving it. Thanks for all you do. Happy sipping!☕🥰

😋 you need a machine!
For the ristretto you hold down the button and stop it early, the thing with that is that it programs the machine to do all espressos as ristrettos but it’s easy to reset it. A ristretto has 25 ml

I just got the nespresso mini and yes hard to find good ones thanks. And I'm just learning the machine. I love ice coffee thats what I mainly do. So the buttons on top on the mini confusing me.
Usually iced lattes are best with espresso shots. The smaller cup button, you would just have to brew two capsules

Does the original line produce crema like in the vertuo ? I’m going to buy a machine but I don’t like I can’t use my own grounds or more 3rd party options that’s why I’m considering the original line.
It does, and whatever coffee nespresso has is superior than keurig even if third parties don’t make them yet. Pretty soon they will because the patent vertuo has will be expiring next year

Whatever you want to pair it with, it pairs well with whatever syrup to be honest

Nice review. I do have an essenza mini and I am loving my lattes from this small machine. Now I think the caffeine levels should depend on the coffee pods (size or type) and not on if you make a espresso vs ristretto vs lungo from the same pod. Since the coffee content is the same inside the pod, so its just that one will be more diluted than the other (volume will wary due to the water content) whether you brew a lungo or an espresso. I am no coffee snob or connoisseur but just trying to use logic here.. Correct me if I am wrong!!
I think there’s more caffeine in espresso since your drinking more maybe?
@@_Alexmojica Well yes if you drink more of espresso or lungo, you will be getting higher caffeine in that case. What I was trying to say is that the original pod for nespresso has a fixed amount of caffeine regardless if you make a lungo or an espresso from that one single pod.

I get what your saying but my mind just can’t help but think that the same pod can have different amounts of caffeine depending on how you brew it but I might be wrong lol 😆

Do you have any favorites for the OL that aren’t nespresso brand?
My favorite non-Nespresso Original line capsules are Cafe Bustelo! Delicious as a latte! In my town I can usually get a packet of 10 capsules for 5.99 at target. My local Publix sells them also but they’re a little bit more money, at 7.49 per 10-count box
Where did you get your cup? I tried looking for it in your Amazon store but couldn’t find it.
It’s discontinued but if you go to world market website and search recycled glass tumbler you’ll see three similar cups!
have you tried the tokyo vivalto lungo ? and cafezinho do brasil ?
I do like the Tokyo one, I use the lavender syrup with it. Haven’t tried Brasil it’s still available?

For lungo, it there any different if choose espresso X2 instead of lungo ?

X2 espresso will give you 3oz of coffee .. lungo will give you 3.7oz
What’s a lungo? I mean how do you make it please. My husband is picking me up an original line machine at Costco tonight but I’m not sure the model or anything yet is it model specific?
Most machines will have the button to make it. It’s a long espresso shot so like an espresso but brewed a bit longer

lol I did too, But I think I'm gonna take the Vertuo back. I love the strength and flavor of the OL a lot more. I "thought" the Vertuo would be more versatile, but I always use the Pixie and the pods are cheaper. But, I don't make the lattes or lots of milk based drinks either

So if you do 1 shot of espresso instead of two, do you still put 1/2 cup of milk??
I rarely do one shot but with one shot I would do a bit less but more than 1/4 cup. Or start at a quarter cup and see how you like that
@@_Alexmojica exactly, but since I always do two shots I have to put more milk in there. I was coming from a Tassimo machine before I bought my Nespresso machine so I had to do some experimenting to get the coffee to taste the way I like it! If you put too much milk when using one capsule, it comes out somewhat weak. I put 2 ounces of evaporated milk and then fill up to the 2/3 mark with 2% milk when I make my latte, and then use two shots or two capsules of espresso shots
Would like to clarify this: do you mean that 1 cap Scuro = 2 caps Chiaro as you mentioned that Scuro is a double expresso of Chiaro.

I believe they brew coffee very different but I’m not exactly sure. I’ve never brewed a capsule twice so I wouldn’t know

William sonoma pumpkin pecan spice and caramel macchiato are great. Starbucks pods have all been great too.

Coffe everyday from
Costa or Starbucks etc, this vertuo coffe it has bad taste
Then maybe just stick to that because Nespresso in my opinion tastes way better than Starbucks 🤔
