    I've been watching your videos for a while now and thank you. I'm studying Archaeology in UW in Warsaw/Poland and it's coming close to my first field school. I'm a huge pile of anxiety and excitement and your videos make me more calm, focused and really happy that it's worth to follow what I love. ❤️

      Hey! I was wondering if you are studying with the English or Polish program? I was interested in applying at Warsaw for the English archaeology program and I'd love to know what you think about it

      Krzysztof Piotrowski Hi! I didn’t end up finishing the course, I changed my major to Journalism. Still in Poland, though. It was a weird decision, but I like it here. :)

    Thank you so much! I am a grade 11 student in Canada and I have been looking for schools that have archaeology programs, this has helped so much.

      That's great! I went to Wilfrid Laureir for my undergrad and it was a great program! I have also heard good things about Universit of Toronto's program. Thanks for watching!

    I found this very interesting. Good honest sharing. It would be nice to see photos of the sites, if you ever get a chance. Good luck on a successful and rewarding career!

      Thank you! I'm actually going to do a video in the next few weeks about why I generally can't post site photos so stay tuned!

    Did your 4 year degree in Canada include your honours? it's confusing converting degrees over to the UK. My archaeology degree is 3yrs + 1yr for honours so 4 in total as well but I was wondering if it would hold me back if I only did 3yrs and didn't do honours so I can on the job market faster for experience.

    • @Inside_Archaeology
      @Inside_Archaeology  Před 6 lety +2

      ScouserLegend in Canada all undergraduate degrees are 4 years. You don't have to write a dissertation at the end of them are either, or at least I didn't have too. I don't think it would hold you back to not go for four years experience is what is desirable for jobs so the more of that you have the better off you will be. Thanks for watching!

    How expensive was it to go to field schools?

    • @Inside_Archaeology
      @Inside_Archaeology  Před 5 lety

      A couple thousands dollars for my Middle Eatern ones, they got cheaper each time as the more times you went back the more senior you were so they could offer to pay for flights or the accomodation costs, I also had a scholarship the one time to help me pay for everything. My Bulgarian one was much cheaper, less than £1000 total I think, but it was also much shorter, we cooked our own food and it wasn't so far away (UK to Bulgaria). Thanks for watching!

    • @Inside_Archaeology
      @Inside_Archaeology  Před 5 lety +1

      Depends on what your university offers or where you can find a course and how much time/money you are willing to commit but it is certainly possible. Thanks for watching!
