Does anybody can explain why we have these stances in karate? Is there any meaning of them? Why it is so important to learn them when we don't use them at all in fighting (kumite) especially in Kyokushin style

OSU!! That's a very good question. I explain it very briefly, and if you feel you need more explanations, I’m happy to help. In fact, we do use these stances in actual kumite, but because they become muscle memory, we don’t realise when we use them. Some stances are a foundation of improving our balance, like Zenkutsu Dachi, which is a longer version of Kumite Dachi, and some stances are for increasing balance and stamina, like Kiba Dachi and Shiko Dachi.
Without having a good posture, we can’t have a good Kata (Which is the big foundation of Kumite), and if we don’t have a good Kata, 100% we wont have a good Kumite. So far, this answer, don’t cover all the reasons why we have to learn the stances, but I leave it for now and I’m happy to answer your further question(s). OSU!!

@@IKO-England this kind of explanation is typical western approach to the subject but main idea of stances is about energetic aspect that comes from Tao philosophy, each stance belongs to specific Element of Wu Xing, Five Elements Theory of Tao Philosophy
