Makuta produced over 740 digital visual effects for multiple scenes in SS Rajamouli's epic "RRR" such as the Police Station fight sequence (Ram Charan's introduction), the Komaram Bheemudo song, intermission fight and explosive climax in the jungle.
Continuing with the wealth of VFX work for this film, we changed our pipeline to primarily Blender for asset work, lighting and rendering, complementing it with our established FX pipeline based around 3ds Max and TyFlow for crowd which we utilised in the Police Station sequence, and rendered using the Cycles For Max port of Blender's Cycles renderer.
Due to the rock-solid rendering and shading, we were able to create multiple extension duplicates and material variations that we wouldn't have been able to do with our previous pipeline.

While movie is an art movie.......based completely on *#VFX**. Shots.* It has more *#VFX** shots.* than #Bahubali-2......* 👎👎👎👎 While movie is a shit and crap.....the ticket price were if *#2100** rs. Then **#1800**,then **#1300**,**#900** and more.......* That's why it was able to gross so much......otherwise......it wouldn't have crossed *#1200** cr. WW.....*
In Hindi also it grossed *#312** cr.+ Cr. With inflated ticket prices.......*😁😁😡😡👎👎👎👎 Movie is literally so ***#cheap**,**#Vulgar**,**#third** class and **#pathetic**......* I don't know why *#Alia** Bhatt,**#Ajay** Devgan.* Worked in for *#2-3 mins.* In the movie.......😡😡😁😁👎👎it took *##4 years to Roz this film.....* #350 cr.* Budget went to #400 then *#500+cr.*😁😁😁👎👎👎👎

The crowd simulation on this film is absolutely world class.
Time is very important for rendering this level of work. Rajamouli+Makuta vfx = Masterpiece 🔥
I can't believe the VFX can be used to this extent. I am literally amazed by the hard/perfect work behind these scenes. Mind blowing effects.
Such a surprise. I couldn't believe that even fencing is also vfx. I was absolutely astonished to learn this. Kudos to the team. and especially to SSR for his vision. And to bring this output a proper color complexity is important. the backgrounds are rendered in such a way, even slow mo play cannot expose it. Absolutely appreciable work.

@@Chetan_patil Very true. Thankfully we had a decent amount of time for these episodes so had the chance to polish and refine. This isn't always the case with some films where release dates are exceptionally tight after you get footage, sometimes by a matter of weeks. As I always say, "you can't roast a chicken in 10 minutes. Some parts are gonna be ok, but the majority of it is gonna make you sick".

Animals cgi was done by MPC which is Hollywood's Major company. They done this level of CGI with in a Budget of 80crores. Don't compare to Other Hollywood's Realistic Cgi Animals which has 2000+crores Budget.

My personal favourite invisible effects shot has to be the barb wire shot. I did wonder how it was pulled off practically but did not give it a second thought. Amazing!
A large amount of the barbed wire was replaced in the Police Station sequence also - this was the same asset / system used here but "art directed" to match the style and shape of the barricade as opposed to the fencing.
