What is scalping?
Scalping is a trading strategy designed to profit from small price changes, with profits on these trades taken quickly and once a trade has become profitable. All forms of trading require discipline, but because the number of trades is so large, and the gains from each individual trade so small, a scalper must have a rigid adherence to their trading system, avoiding one large loss that could wipe out dozens of successful trades.
Scalpers will take many small profits, and not run any winners, in order to seize gains as and when they appear. The aim is for a successful trading strategy through the large number of winners, rather than a few successful trades with large winning sizes.
Scalping relies on the idea of lower exposure risk, since the actual time in the market on each trade is quite small, lessening the risk of an adverse event causing a big move. In addition, it takes the view that smaller moves are easier to get than larger ones, and that smaller moves are more frequent than larger ones.

quick question if you will mate. if the all conditions are met for a bullish trade and the rsi is above 50 but in the 70 ranges do you still go long or wait for the next ?
@@theclueless_gamer don't bother with overbought/oversold RSI....just follow the rules: above 50 and moving up= buy. (and vice versa)

I wasn't sure if the 3 rising candles followed by one bearish will most likely be a signal to enter the trade, but I have done it twice and it was a positive result. So I'd have a couple questions about scalping: the first is more of a general one and it's about TP/SL: is there a way to calculate instantly the prices to get a said %ROI?
Second one is: if I'm scalping for 0.67% profit and -0.33% SL my trades might close at the stop loss price due to the high volatility of the market (I guess?) while in the next few candles the trend would have earned me a profit. Is there a particular strategy to avoid that or do I just need to place the SL further away? (As well as increasing the profit)

1) is this period not ideal for scalping with this technique given the war?
2) do we choose pairs that do NOT have high impact news during this day? or during only a selected trading session?
3) length of the candle with the arrow to select the SL: the body of the candle only? the whole length from highest and lower price?

This is exactly what I needed, I was pretty successful when I started by keeping it simple and got a bit cocky lol. I started trying to add indicators and over complicated things, and have started losing more. I gotta remember KISS(keep it simple stupid)…

Instead of using the candle length to calculate SL and TP, could an alternative method be to use 1.5xATR for SL and 3xATR for TP? The final result is still a 2:1 Risk/Reward Ratio. Thanks in advance. By the way, I love the channel and am learning heaps.
use bracket orders also.
ATR is a great way to do the math. Or just backtest to see how much the pair moves per session on average, then use that.. I know some guys that trade AU very profitably and they know exactly what they can get away with in terms of SL and TPs.

12:30 S/R key levels are the magnet for the price , I agree 1000%
The RSI has a flaw. The use of the statement transp in the pine editor code needs to be modified because it is near depreciation date. It will stop working soon. That might be why they eliminated the indicator from the sites available options.

I've got a question about the moving averages on your screen. Do you only look at the 200sma to determine direction of your trade? What do you do if the price is above the 200sma on say the 5 min chart but below it on the 1h chart?

Thanks Arty -- as always appreciate your videos and strategies. Key point that I took beyond the strategy itself is patience -- wait for the proper alignment. What settings are you using for Arty V2 -- the same? How about TMA RSI DIV 2 settings? Also as FYI the "Arty" indicator is now called "The Phoenix" in the chart display, the settings layout is different, though indicator can still be found via indicator search using the term "Arty". TMA RSI DIV v2 indicator also different settings layout. Final note -- the trading window setting for the Asia/Sydney and Asia/Tokyo session are not accurate, or at least true in my instance of Trading View.

Not a huge fan of a systematic strategy like this requiring drawing of support and resistance (as that’s subjective and entry could be missed while deciding), but overall I’m a fan of your logic on this.
My systematic scalping strategy I have just a 1.5-1 R-R and I’m a bigger fan of that than 2-1 or more on scalping as it can get hit quite consistently (and also allow you to take advantage of smaller moves/have larger trade volume). Consistently hitting just 50% on 1.5 - 1 while having high trade volume can grow quickly.
