Laney is doing so many things right these days. Their amps, from small to large, effects pedals and these pedal board amps. They are all great. Maybe Marshall should look at their fellow British legendary amp company (oops, Marshall’s not British any more…) and make some new products for guitarists instead of Bluetooth speakers. And try showing up a NAMM like Laney does. 😂 Anyway, nice work, Laney.
Im dying for a Supergroup version of these
These sound great
Awesome demo too 🤘🏽
I love the iceman shape so much, I'm currently building my own with a inline reverse headstock. Oh and killer Laney stuff btw ive always wanted to get behind an ironheart
I have the Ironheart Loudpedal, and can’t get a decent tone no matter what pedals I throw in front of it. It’s basically being used as a power amp now with an HX Stomp going into the effects return.
These seem to be a major upgrade tone wise!
I felt the same listening to all the demos...these seem to be significantly better sounding.
We use one and it sounds crazy if you connect it directly to a cabinet via the loudspeaker output. (If you haven’t tried that)
I use the old Laney loud pedal into a cab...these definitely sound upgraded. The on board reverb is a huge upgrade, I felt like the dry only tone (when not using my reverb or delay pedal) sounds a little fake/boss katana-y
The clean tone certainly sounds much more smooth on these new ones it seems
£399!! You're kidding me, how can they produce this quality for so little?
Try death sacred serenity or empty words ✨
IR loaders can always go in the FX loop, or these can be used with the 4 cable method and a multi-FX pedal. TBH I think use with a multi-FX pedal will really be where these - and most other pedal amps, frankly - truly shine. Whether these, the ones from Orange, or the Hughes & Kettner units, multi-FX is the bee's knees with these.
What pickups did you pop into the Iceman, Mr. @DaganWilkin? Also, how does this compare to the Blackstar Amped series?
I want the Iceman!
someone is having fun
It says 60watts power “consumption” on the back panel. Surely it is not putting the same out to the speaker as well?
Che differenze c'è tra i due?
The new pedals are more expensive than the Ironheart IRF Loudpedal, which did not convince me much and if the option, to load and eq your own IR's, justifies the higher price, everyone has to judge by himself.
If I had access to the Lionheart Loudpedal in my surrounding, I liked to test it by myself, but I hardly ordered one. What I hear here, does not sound bad, but also does not blow me away and the typical Ironheart sound anyway is not really my taste. Had some, almost instantly sold them again.
The idea in principle is good, but for a tubeless pedal solution prices are much too high in my opinion, if you consider, what competitors offer in this price range. But I anyway prefer using real all tube amps instead of pedalboard amps with Class D power amps.
Nice demo, nevertheless, to get a first impression.
Good deal, now can they make a stereo version...
What is LAIR? how is it different?
It’s an IR loader rather than simple emulation. Laney Advanced IR.
@@sygenics so, no different than any IR loader i guess.
I'm just stating a hunch here with no evidence, but the Ironheart plugin with Aurora DSP uses the Bogren IRDX which alters the response of the IRs. So rather than the IR being the same static response all the time, it changes it to respond differently depending on how you play more like a real speaker would.
I'm not saying that the LAIR is the same thing, but it would make sense to me given that it has been used previously in their software
@@MrMojoCross great hunch! i wish they would elaborate--at least on how it's better than standard IRs.
Laney makes great amps but not for everyone!
Best pedalboard amp is the Bluguitar Amp1
Maybe, but that is twice the cost of these.
Abso-fuckin-lootely!
And I only paid £200 secondhand for my Silver edition.
Love it so much I've sold all my valve amps after 40 years of touring being dedicated to Marshall amps.
Mindblowing bit of kit ❤
Bluegrass music is Played on all Acoustic Instruments.
*USUALLY*
What a horrible guitar sound.
Im actually surprised by how punchy the loaded IRs are. Earlier versions of Laneys just were so underwhelming, so good on them getting them up to par!
However im not a big fan of shared eq it drives me crazy even though i get why they did. But the mostly noon settings Dagan has em in sound pretty decent so maybe im just being petty lol
Sounds pretty shit tbh.
If they're good enough for Martin Miller and Tom Quayle they're good enough for most of us.
