  • Here I replace both front flex exhaust pipes on my aging Ford Flex.
Part number list for this project is as follows-

    Left pipe BA8Z-5G203-B
    Gasket 7T4Z-9450-AA
    Nuts W520414-S441
Bolts for flex pipe to catalytic converter - W714826-S900
    Notes-
All the nuts/bolts are torqued to 40Nm/30lb-ft
When torquing down the hardware for both pipes- alternate between each set of bolts/nuts for each pipe.

My son worked at a local muffler shop and replaced them with universal flex pipes. He cut out the old and welded in the new. I can relate though. I spent time late last fall in early winter repairing the rockers in mine

Mine needs both inner and outer rockers.

You went the right route. I am basically right there and will have to replace mine soon. I thought about asking an exhaust shop to see if they could repair them too.
    They also make a copper high-heat anti-seize

Just go get new stainless steel bolts you don’t need to get dealer bolts

that is a valid point. Though to me getting the exact bolt used is easier then going to the hardware and playing the guessing game of which thread pitch fits closest.
