The sheer artistry of launching 2 buildings strapped to another building towards space at 8000Km/h +........ then dropping them off and touching them down like a feather in a single camera frame ...... within milliseconds of each other. A stunningly beautiful and mesmerising feat of engineering!

SevelRomanov Well the tesla which is on a trajdctory towards mars travels even faster relative to the sun, as is required to escape the gravitational tethers of the earth, so it is in fact the fastest moving car in history. Additionally, the tesla is placed into a resonant orbit with that of mars so that it will intercept it after a number of orbits, thus an eccentric orbit around the sun is used, which translates into even greater relative velocity relative to the sun than the earth.

watching those boosters land @30:00 is arguably the most impressive thing i have ever seen in my life, when i first watched this video i had no idea that they were going to land the boosters like this and i thought they were going to land in the ocean like NASA always did so when it came to the moment where the 16 storey tall boosters suddenly sprouted its legs from nowhere and then the way they gracefully landed together perfectly absolutely blew my mind
I didn't expect that either. I read a comment on here just before they landed, stating the reuse of the Falcon boosters. I didn't realize they went to such lengths. I thought to myself, "they won't be reusable as they are appearing to fall back to land." And then I watched them land flawlessly with machine precision, at the exact. same. time. Outstanding.

Dittos 😍
I'll be here for it as long as its here to be here for. 👍
Had to come back and watch this again. That dual landing is just so friginnfantastic. My poor thouroghly non-technical spouse was so confused....I was hollering jumping up and down, "See that!!! Watch!! Do you have ANY idea how ridicuously difficult that is!!"
4 years later and this is still 1 of the most amazing moments in human history
So true my friend.
True
Was the coolest thing I've ever seen in person.
It's made all the other rockets ive seen launch, since this one, miniscule in comparison.
I miss the rumble against my chest as that behemoth took off.
I’m watching this as I do a falcon heavy recreation and kerbel space program lol! Go falcon heavy
Which human?
Finally, something on number 1 trending that is worth it and reasonable
This will never ever get old, absolutely incredible 👏
Yes. It's absolutely incredible that people are so gullable that they believe this is genuine footage of a rocket launch.
Happy 5th anniversary with first launch Falcon Heavy
Here I am, 3 months later, still tearing up on my 10th+ viewing....
Uriah Siner about my 4th, so majestic.

Uriah Siner dude same
Just 10? I downloaded it offline

Anyone else return to this video every once in a while when your subscriptions are having a slow day?
Just whenever I want goosebumps
I saw it live, and then I've honestly watched it every month or so. The double landing boosters is my wallpaper, so every once in a while I go "yeah, let's see if I can watch it again, this time without crying". Haven't managed the not-crying part yet.
Yes, and I get tears every time 😆
In 2021 I still do
Yes!!
This will never not be awesome
I still remember how hyped I got watching this
The sheer artistry of launching 2 buildings strapped to another building towards space at 8000Km/h +........ then dropping them off and touching them down like a feather in a single camera frame ...... within milliseconds of each other. A stunningly beautiful and mesmerising feat of engineering!
WISH WE WE THIS PROGRESSIVE IN RESEARCH. WE WOULD HAVE THE CURE FOR CORONA VIRUSES

frrrr im doing the same thing.
hopefully its a repeat of the success fingers crossed
It blew up 💀
SpaceX has made history with this amazing feat. They have inspired us to reach for the stars and work with passion. The twin booster landing is a stunning display of skill and technology. It’s hard to believe this happened five years ago. I feel so lucky to witness this era of space exploration. I’m also eagerly waiting for a successful starship test flight. SpaceX rocks!
Still gives me chills watching those two boosters land simultaneously whilst cheers are being heard. What a moment.
I am so cold, so many chills
The technical achievement here is spectacular- execution sublime even now looking back from 2021- a very different world. I wonder what the 'rocketeering' forefathers would say if they could somehow have seen the skill and knowhow built upon their shoulders!

I'll never get tired of watching those side boosters landing side by side 🤘
Yesterday was the 5th anniversary of the launch of Falcon Heavy 🚀🌌❤️

And that's how Tesla Roadster is now the fastest moving car in our solar system.
SevelRomanov yeah but this one is going the fastest
SevelRomanov Well the tesla which is on a trajdctory towards mars travels even faster relative to the sun, as is required to escape the gravitational tethers of the earth, so it is in fact the fastest moving car in history. Additionally, the tesla is placed into a resonant orbit with that of mars so that it will intercept it after a number of orbits, thus an eccentric orbit around the sun is used, which translates into even greater relative velocity relative to the sun than the earth.
and also our solar system is moving through space at many a speed
They can now say electric cars go way further than petrol ones
What an era we live in, that in sync landing was one of the coolest things I've witnessed
Duz111 All deception! Earth is flat!
lol give it up mate, they even filmed the rocket going through the atmosphere in real time, with several cameras. what are your sorry excuses now?
Internet Jesus VFX
Internet Jesus No they didn't! They were edited. If you think this is real then you're crazy!
i really hope you're joking
Amazing, I cant watch this without crying, I hope brazil can do that someday too.
SpaceX, the art of rockets.

1960's: top secret US government, super serious, launch to the moon.
2018: f*** it, let's send a car to space and play some dope music.
Elijah Waite To be fair, in the late 50s and 60s we were battling the Soviet Union for power which is why we sent Americans to the moon to basically one up them. It's called the space race
yea...but it's a Great song. :)

Man, it was awesome watching this live, such a thrill
Same
Me too. My 3yo son at the time was loving watching the rockets, so we got up at 05:30 Brisbane Australia time and watched it together.
Even today one of his favourite videos to watch, alongside 'how not to land an orbital booster'.
@@morosis82 wow, same. I watched it with my space obsessed son. An event I'll always remember.

So much energy I love it
I came back today, just because I remembered about this and I wanted to see it again. Thank you for everything Space X.
Congratulations all employees of SpaceX - incredable engineers, all of you!
watching those boosters land @30:00 is arguably the most impressive thing i have ever seen in my life, when i first watched this video i had no idea that they were going to land the boosters like this and i thought they were going to land in the ocean like NASA always did so when it came to the moment where the 16 storey tall boosters suddenly sprouted its legs from nowhere and then the way they gracefully landed together perfectly absolutely blew my mind
Where have you guys been in the last few years??
I saw the first successful landing of a booster in person. Indian river camp ground. Utterly amazing.
watch the spacex orbcomm-2 mission webcast to see the first successful landing. it was arguably more emotionally powerful!

It was great! One step closer :)
Well boys, It finally happened again. USSF-44 just launched and watching those side boosters land is still the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
The double booster landing was like something out of science fiction.
Just awesome.
All science is science fiction until the day it isn't.
Because it’s not real. The real earth is flat.
