I was allergic to cats for a while, but exposure therapy slowly cured me of it. I just got a cat and some allergy medication, and for like a year i had bad allergies but they went away when my body got used to it.
Allergies are just your body overreacting. When it sees DNA from the cat dander, it recognizes that it's not from your body, and releases a bunch of histamine to cause swelling and attack the area, cuse it thinks its the DNA of invading microorganisms. But over time your body realizes that the DNA is not from bacteria or viruses, and that it's actually harmless, so your body stops producing so much histamine eventually. Just gotta work through it. Cats are sooo worth it, they're really the most amazing loving animals in the world. But they only really form a connection with their owners, so lots of people meet other people's cats and don't like them cuse the cat isn't bonded with them, so it acts aloof. But when you have your own cat that forms a bond with you, cats can be every bit as loving as dogs. And since you had to earn the love, it feels really special to have that connection to the animal that no one else has but you.

@Brendons Forehead I got him as an adult. he’s petty about food and has a habit of “slapping” us lol. when he’s mad, he makes a weird face and then places his paw on my face. he’s not really much of a demon, just a petty little ginger!

By no means am i disrespecting him or making fun of old people in general. I just love seeing "people that have significantly aged" being happy, smiling and spending the rest of their lives doing something that makes them laugh and smile rather than being constricted in a nursing home with a feeding tube or just lay helplessly on a bed. So, seeing them having something to do or someone/something to care for that makes them happy is actually very heartwarming for me.

I went to the mosque with my cousin when I was 4 and instead of praying, I went outside and play with her and found a cute white and orange cat with her feet covered with pink paint, we picked her up and brought her to my home, surprising my mom.
One time, we had to throw her away cos my younger brother was just born and the doctor suggested to get rid of the cats. I wasn't angry or sad, I knew she isn't going far. I have a feeling we are going to meet her again someday. Untill 2 years later. We found her again where I first found her. In the same mosque with 4 newborn kittens.
And 15 years later, she's still right here beside me..

LUCKY. My cat was a stray/feral and my dad and sister found her outside there house. So I literally drove 40 mins just to see that cat... I ended up adopting her (cause she was so nice and just wanted some love). Long story short I live with my brother and he straight up ignores my cat. But all my cat does is sleep so idk why he so mad. lol hopefully he will end up like your brother! It's not likely though because I recently bought a giant cat tree and he threated to throw it out the window...

고양이를 안키운다고 반대하시는 분들은 보통 고양이를 키우면서 얻는 기쁨보다 한 생명을 맡는다는 책임을 더 무겁게 생각하는 겁니다.
그래서 어쩔 수 없이 키우게 된 경우, 책임을 다하려고 오히려 더 신경써주고 보살펴주는 경우가 많죠. 절대로 안귀여울거라고 생각해서
반대하는게 아니에요. 무분별하게 한 생명을 맡는다는 것이 얼마나 힘들고, 버리게 되었을 경우에 얼마나 그 동물에게 잔인한 결과가 될 수 있는지
충분히 알고 있어서 그런 겁니다. 어제도 운전하고 오다가 차에 치여 죽은 고양이만 두번을 봤네요. 특히 키우던 길냥이는 조심성이 없어서
차도나 위험한 곳에 멋모르고 뛰어드는 경우가 많습니다.
그런식으로생각하는사람은 솔직히 많이없어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 좋아하기는 합니다만 책임감 보다도 고양이건 강아지건 키움으로써 자신과 집이 불편해지는게 싫어서가 대부분이죠
아녜요 은근 많습니다 ㅠㅠ 저희 엄마도 책임을 무겁게 생각해서 키우다 잘못될까봐 키우기 싫어하셔요 ㅠ.....
음..저는 고양이를 1번 키워봤는데 잘 키우다가 갑작으럽게 아이가 떠나게 되었는데 그때 슬픔이 너무 커서 또 키우게 되면 정이 들어서 떠나가면 어쩔까 하는 마음이 너무 무섭고..그 아이한테 미안한 마음이 들어서 못키우겠는것도 있는 것 같이ㅡ요!

Guys I do want to get them fixed because I got 5 females cat and one male( yub he’s living his best life) but the point is .the only vet in my hometown is absent right now . I don’t really know where he went . Oh and the cat that I thought was pregnant actually doesn’t .it just Fat but I think someone in my neighborhood been feeding my cat . Because they probably missing for 2 or 3 days and came back more fatter . Like its a mystery .

It's true, admittedly i have had nothing but negative experiences with cats (tho mostly my own fault, I'm used to dogs so I was impatient wanting affection from cats who need more time) but my boyfriend has an adorable orange cat like her dad's named Otis, and tho he assures me he can get quite wild and playful, he's been nothing but affectionate and gentle with me, and now I'm obsessed with the thought of having one myself!
