This is the best tutorial on the subject I have ever seen! Despite the fact that the tutorial is 3 years old, I have learnt more in 2.5 hours than I have learnt through a multitude of online courses containing many hours of useless information. This tutorial beats everything else I have ever seen. Concise, to the point without unnecessary fluff while focusing one everything essential, well explained by an exceedingly knowledgeable teacher! Well done Paul, you are the man!! You have gained a dedicated disciple.

    1. choose the elementor widget of: gallery >> not the 'basic gallery'! :)
    2. when making custom field of gallery choose as shown in this great video: array images (important) it took me hours to figure it out :)

Thanks you Paul for a very informative and in-depth tutorial. Your professional and clear approach to imparting information meant that watching a 2.5h video was easy.
I learned a lot from this and as I have a project coming up, I hope to use a lot of the tips and techniques you outlined here.
One aspect that I thought could do with a little more explanation is the relationships section. I am very clear on database relationships, but I thought this needed a little more detail. I would like to see if there is another approach. Your examples are dealing with a small number of properties, I understand. But when lots of properties are being added, the currently logged in user is probably the agent in your example and it would be good to see the relationship populated with that.
I am really looking forward to your next video, thanks again

Is there a way to connect the map with facetWP (or some other filtering system) so it will only show the properties on the map that meet the person's search criteria? Great video! Lots of great info. Would you be able to do one on customising FacetWP? I have found doing any styling on this plugin to be a complete nightmare and it is certainly lacking in this area. Their documentation doesn't really do much to explain the "how to" of this. Very very frustrating to find a good filter plugin that works with Elementor that isn't nasty to style. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to get one that you can change checkboxes from ghastly grey boxes to a button with text kind of arrangement. Thanks!

Excellent tutorial. Just one question. When adding the recent posts widget to display the latest 4 or however many in the sidebar, is it possible to include any of the meta data from the ACF? The widget used for this is the standard WordPress posts widget. That's fine in this example as each post relates to a house that is for sale. If however the listings were for either a house for sale or a house To Let, it would be useful to add the meta data for this of "For Sale" or "To Let" not just in the recent posts widget but also on the single post or archive pages also. The WP posts widget only seems to allow for standard meta data such as Author, Date, Time and Comments with no option for dynamic data. I couldn't see that AE Pro offers a similar widget. Thanks.

Hi Paul With the new elementor template system, combined with Dynamic Content for Elementor would you still need that Anywhere Elementor Pro? Not really grasping what the use of that plugin is.

Thank you very much Paul this video is super usefull and was exactly what i need for my usecase... As you have asked about any wishes, i would love to have a WPUF tutorial i use this plugin for frontend posts as well, but i think i have missed a lot of features or dont understand thier usecase.
Maybe you could do a detailed video for WPUF. I would be so thankfull about that i would even pay you something, because i think WPUF is very powerfull.
    Kind regards
    Liam

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm setting up my site now with it step by step. I've run into a problem with AnyWhere Elementor Pro. My widgets don't show up when I got to setting up the agent template. I isolated it to pro by deactivating it. I know there are several versions, I tried the newest version 2.15.3 and the oldest version 2.14.1 and neither worked. Any advice? Thanks!

Thank you for this detailed resource, Paul. I am currently designing the architecture of a web project using CPT UI and ACF Pro and will appreciate any help from you and other users here.
I'm working on a "School/Courses/Scholars Finder" project that will have the following features:
    1. Listing of schools based on types (uni, college, etc), ownership (private, public, etc), and a few other grouping fields. These schools are located in different regions (or states) in a country (region 1, region 2, etc).
    2. Courses: each may be offered by more than 1 school
    3. Scholarships: May be offered in/by many schools or no school at all.
I have a challenge designing the relationships in a reasonable manner that will be easy to retrieve data from. Like, which should be custom post type/taxonomy. And how to link things.
Any help with be appreciated. Thanks guys!

    Amazing tutorial.
I'm having problem with loading a video on the background instead of feature image . I created a field in property menu to add property video link eighter vimeo or youtube . Then in the elementor style section I chose video link as background and dynamic link to the property. But nothing shows. Is there any other way ?

thank you so much paul. Your videos are so great! Also, I have two questions. 1. I need to put the property archive onto another page which I build with elementor pro. then place it in my menu. I have noticed that the search and other bars dont show up? what i am doing wrong. 2. When the archive is displayed it is not perfect. Some of the spacing is off. I have tried to edit my loop. still I cant seem to get it right Any suggestions. thanks your biggest fan!

@WPTuts Another fantastic tutorial Paul. Thank you so much for the incredible content. Is it possible to use JetSmartFilters in place of FacetWP ? TIA

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  Před 4 lety +1

      No problem at all.
I don't believe so. As far as I am aware, JetSmartFilters will only work with JetEngine meta fields and not ACF.
I will be doing a guide to using Search and Filter Pro which is a lot cheaper than the 2 plugins used in this video, but need to fully test it out to see how it stacks up against FacetWP and SearchWP. :)

Hello Paul, I'm curious to know if the following can be accomplished through Elementor. When you look at featured posts for a directory site, this is something that is usually charged for. It would be great to know how to set something like that up. I believe this is usually something that is charge for over a period of time (days, weeks, months). What would be nice is knowing how to integrate this and have it as an option in the dashboard, in this case, of the Realtor so if he or she wanted to to make a particular listing they have into a featured listing, they could do so whether it was a new listing or one they are editing. The second thing would be giving the Realtors the ability to mark the status of their listing (new, pending, sold and so on). This could display in the listing somewhere (both in the post grid and the single post) so people can see its current status.

Truly appreciate all the hard work that's been invested into this video. 😆
If you don't mind me asking, could you provide links to the image files being used and things of such sort so that we could follow along while watching the video?

I'm pretty sure they are all from Unsplash: Some can be found here: unsplash.com/s/photos/house
It was a long time ago that I grabbed some of the others, so I'm not too sure where they came from to be honest.

thank you so much for the incredible information, as usual. I am trying to use a membership plugin such as ultimate member or WP User Frontend and show the custom post added by each user on their profiles... I haven't found a single video about that, can you please do a tutorial about it!

Thank you for the tuts, extremely useful. However, I would like to know if the plugins used are compatible with WP Job Manager, or if you know one that might be. I would like to add a Company Registration form that will go to a Directory after submitting it. Thank you, really appreciate it.
