Whenever i watch this song i remember my Europe trip For 18 days and Venice we travelled in same type of boat and remembered this beutiful song Asha and Amitabh Bacchan with R D Burman. Congratulations Amitabhji For Dadasaheb Falke award on this occasions today.
I am die-heart fan of RD Burman and had been following since 1994 when I was 16 years old. If I have to select best 20 songs of RD Burman, this song would definitely make in top five. This song is so under-rated otherwise. What a song! What a melody! What a composition! and What a singing!
Not a single time has ever happened that I have started listening this song and within 5 second I have not got goosebumbs. The moment this instrument (sound like guitar) starts when Amitabh and Zeenat standing on the ground before boarding into the boat, I get goose-bumb.
This composition creates so weird feeling in me, something like that I deeply missing my love of my life. This song is little bit on sad side but so melodius. I just cannot love this song enough. This is so much near to my heart. I miss such melodies, lyrics, compositions. I don't enjoy today's music at all. I have stopped following this era totally. I am happy with my oldies even 90's.
