Thanks for the video. Our ARA matches have changing wind directions along with inconsistent velocities!! Great shooting
Terry, Thanks for the kind works. I plan on doing more videos on shooting in the wind as I learn to master the still for myself.
@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV I used to put 4 wind flags at 50 yards but hated seeing them al pointing in different directions at the same time. Here is an oldy but a goodie czcams.com/video/0ALAbZpv9s4/video.html
Thanks for the informative video. Something i would suggest is to measure your cartridges. Bill calfee's book, the art of rimfire accuracy mentions this several times and even tried to get Eley to start listing their cartridge length along with fps. They list their match at 1" length but its just a generic listing when in all actuality there will be a variance of up to .008"-.010" in length lot# to lot#. I found this to hold true when fishing for precision. Every chamber is different, some better then others but, i wont get into that debate. Your rifle will have a preference on where the projectile likes to be in relation to the lands. Take 10 rounds of each lot, measure, sort and shoot. There are other variables such as rim thickness and weight but, i haven't had much luck with them. Now cartridge length, yes sir! Hope this tid bit of info helps you to get more of those sweet trophy plaques displayed in your video background.
I just ordered the book before I read the rest of your comment, I have hrad the name Bill Calfee name if I am not mistaken he makes rifles? I am going to revisit sorting and am going to add bullet length, stay tuned although for the sound of it, I could learn a lot from you and you guidance is always appreciated. Some day I hope to meet in person, again I love your user name.
@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV I have Calfee's book too, and he determined after all of his experiments was you need a tuner. He went further to say that they would be used on centerfire rifles and now they are being used on centerfires.
@@karencollins9363 Thanks Karen, I am looking forward to receiving his book. Sounds like you are taking rimfire shooting seriously. Do you compete?
Very much enjoyed your video. I am also shooting a Cz 457 Atone in 24” length. I found Lapua Midas+ to be the best so far with SK Standard+ coming in a close second.
Next time I can buy a bunch of the SK Standard + I am going to. Interesting enough with the limited testing I have done with Midas +, center X for me out shoots it. In November I am going to the Lapua testing range maybe I'll have a Lot of midas + that out shoots Center X but I hope not $$$ wise.
@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV ya Midas is stupid expensive. My local Scheels has 3000 rounds. Very tempting. Center X was horrible through my gun. Best group with Midas was .116!! 5 shot five group average was .286
I watched video 2 first and then this video. You need a barrel tuner if one can be used in an ARA match, if you cannot use one, you may be doing as good as you can with this rifle setup. You shoot really well with the CZ.
Thanks Karen, We can not use a tuner in the ARA factory class so instead, I find the best shooting ammo and then adjust my action screws to "tune" the horminics of the barrel. The is a new practice for me and seems to be working. Thanks for your comment it is greatly appreciated.

To me, it looked like the 1040fps and the 1045fps was your most consistent round for your rifle. It is obvious that eley tests these rounds in a different length barrel than the one on your CZ for you to get higher speeds on your chronograph.
@@karencollins9363 I believe like SK/Lapua they use a 26" barrel
GJ
Thanks
I have tried a lot of different ammos in my at-one and the eley stuff just doesn't get it the best of all is sk standard plus and the lapua ten x and the sk match this all shoots lights out not much different at all from one to the other. But I watch all your videos and they are great keep up the good work.
Beagleman
Thanks Beagleman
Enjoy the video’s mate. When your shooting the factory class targets are you only using your scope on 6x or in America can you use whatever power you want thanks
We can use what ever we want and I max it out to 40. Thanks for your comment
Thank you for taking the time to show all this.
I know some find it boring, but I shoot ARA and I like to see 1 shot one bullseye shooting and watch how you try to read the wind.
I love it and hate it all at the same time.
Keep it up!.
Is there a reason for putting your target sideways?
Kent, I get the love hate thing for sure.
There is a reason I hang the targets the way I do and I'll explain in it one of my upcoming video hopefully out my next weekend.
Very nice, what scope are you using on your CZ?

So you’re the guy that shot the new factory record target.
Yes, That is correct. Are you an ARA competitor?
@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV Yes. This is my first full season. Currently fifth in Factory Outdoor A-Line, 14th in Aggregate. I’m addicted.
@@Appalachained impressive. I can not compete in the A-Line, maybe when I retire. Too hard to get the points, my goal someday is to travel and shoot at the different matches and ranges. Congrats on your placement and shooting, that is no easy task.
I would still shoot every match I could even if there were no record kept. I just like shooting and the camaraderie. The aggravate list is for people like you who live in areas where there aren’t many venues or other competitors. A big factor in A-Line scoring is how many people who finish beneath you in matches, so even if your aggregate is great, if there are only a few competitors there are no points to be had. It works out well that they have both categories.
Congrats on the record target. It should be a long time before it’s broken.
