Looking back on this as an adult makes me realize just how weird the TMNT series was growing up.
That's a good point. The closer the media sticks to the original content the better it is.
That really holds true for the fist movie and the 2003 cartoon.
In a strange way the 2013 CG cartoon took all the lore, including the extended media and successfully managed to make it all work together.
This is hands down the best tmnt related CZcams channel out there. Just saying.

Great video as always! I really agree with your point about how making everyone a mutant makes the turtles less unique, it’s one of the reasons why the 87 and 2012 turtles have never hit the same with me.

Tartzou I have a question in ninja came from poor background so then stole information for warlords to make money for survival is that not the same as mutant Mayhem stilling food for survival
Here's the main difference for me. Mutant Mayhem went out of its way to make the turtles not like ninjas in every other aspect. The entire Splinter backstory with Hamato Yoshi was thrown out. So for me, when the Mutant Mayhem turtles are stealing from a small business, it's not because they're ninjas - they are more like common thugs in my mind. And that's not even mentioning the fact that a small business is not comparable to a rival warlord or the fact that Mutant Mayhem was marketed toward children, which means it should have stricter moral standards (unlike the comics, which are for adults).

I'm excited for it. I honestly don't think TLR is being milked THAT much compared to the '87 turtles and Mutant Mayhem.
