Dyma'r unig gopi a gadwyd o'r gyfres hynod boblogaidd Gwlad y Gan a ddarlledwyd ar draws Prydain yn y Chwedegau cynnar. Seren y sioe oedd Ifor Emmanuel. Fe'i magwyd ym Mhontrhydyfen ac yn ystod yr Ail Rhyfel Byd fe chwythwyd cartref y teulu yn ufflon un noson gan fom a ollyngwyd gan Awyrlu yr Almaen, gan ladd ei fam, ei dad, ei chwaer a'i daid. Drwy rhyfedd wyrth fe oroesodd Ifor y danchwa ac fel oedolyn aeth ymlaen i gael gyrfa lwyddiannus fel seren ar deledu ffilm ac ar lwyfannau y West End.
This is the only surviving copy of the extremely popular Sixties series 'Land of Song'. It was broadcast across Britain and the star of the show was Ivor Emmanuel. He grew up in Pontrhydyfen and was at home during the Second World War when a stray German bomb blew the family home to bits, killing Ivor's sister, mother, father and grandfather. Incredibly Ivor survived and went on as an adult to enjoy a successful career as an actor and a performer
