    Good show Mart !!.....thanks for the ride in the coupe !.....I like the colors on the last car you showed ( dark blue and gray).....that Chrysler must be like driving a barge on the narrow roads there.....
    Take Care.......Mark

    This car deserves a restoration...

    • @MartsGarage
      @MartsGarage  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hello Francisco. I'm not a restoration guy, unfortunately. I hope I can conserve it and halt any further deterioration. I will be repairing the worst parts.

    sounds like it might need a pinion bearing , that's a cool ride mate

      Hi Fred, yeah, it might. There is a whine that gets worse when hot. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Thanks for the video, that bleeper on the indicators would drive me mad, rather than leaving mine flashing away I made up an Arduino, far easier for self cancelling and all hidden away so you dont see it. Just purchased a rather nice 2 owner Herald , so hoping to use that this year rather than the 7, bit easier on my back, lol.

      Hi Rich. Yeah, the buzzer is annoying but I keep leaving them on if I don't use it. Congrats on the new old car. Hopefully the weather will brighten up a bit and you can get out in it.

      @@MartsGarage Thanks for the congrats, just waiting for this big ball of fire to show itself , lol. I did build two Arduino units up, one as a demo to prove it worked, so have no issues adding the missing parts to that and posting off to you - sure makes driving a far quieter and safer experience. You will need to swap out your existing indi switch though for a momentary one, with two poles, I can dig out the link where to get that. Let me know.

    Great video as usual Mart! Hard to tell but does your 33 transmission have a bit of a howl? Might want to check the fluid level while it's on jack stands. Take care

    Were they rod and cable brakes originally? My first car was a 1954 Ford Popular with rod and cable brakes. They worked well, but needed stripping down, cleaning, and re-greasing about every 1000 miles (13 clevis pins in total).

    • @MartsGarage
      @MartsGarage  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi Eddy. Yeah, rod brakes all around as stock. I had a Prefect like your Pop and remember going through all the brakes on that. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Hi Mart ,that Pendine salt looks aggressive is the underside of the 32 ok ?
    I also have one of those heater units ,bought from Marketplace for £10 ,I purchased it with the intention of taking it into Gallay radiators whose factory is a couple of miles down the road from me ,thinking they may have a display cabinet for such things .I found a cool advert from a publication online for them .cheers again Phil.

    • @MartsGarage
      @MartsGarage  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi Phil. Gallay - that's it. The coupe has a lot of surface rust. It was stored in an area that was prone to flooding. I can foresee some rust repair in my fiture. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    FYI I buy brake cleaner 5 gallons at a time and put it in a can that is pressurized by my compressor, it saves a lot of money in the long run.

      Hi Jag. Yeah, that's the best way. I have a pump spray bottle and can get it locally in gallon cans. I got those spray cans cheap at lidl and like the convenience. They don't have them all the time though unfortunately.
