Who is this troll on your page? 😂
It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. If the stock has increased sharply because the business is performing exceptionally well, it could still be a bargain. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...
I agree that there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such executions are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
Elisse Laparche Ewing is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.
I recently sold some of my Nvidia stocks to secure profits, but I'm retaining a portion for the long term, its growth potential is robust. I'm also considering diversifying my $400K stock portfolio, but I'm uncertain about managing risks in my next move.
I think the safest strategy is to diversify investments. Like spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown

Finding financial advisors like Carol Vivian Constable who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an email shortly.
I think the stock market will do well in 2024, so I'm thinking of putting $220,000 into stocks for my retirement. Any advice on doing this safely? Also, any important tips for the current financial situation?

I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown
Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.

My CFA ’Melissa Terri Swayne’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Appreciate this recommendation, hopefully I can get some insight to where the market is headed and strategies to beat the downtrend with when I hear back from Melissa.
My portfolio for the past 30 years has always been self managed and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17,000 during the mid 90s, I’m currently liquidating some of these positions to incoporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.
Invest in real estate, ETfs and high-yield savings account.
Just buy Gold and protect your assets, the stock market is a rollercoaster.
The market is not necessarily a rollercoaster if you know your way around the market, there are various opportunities in the present market to accrue good profit, If you are not too savvy with the market, just buy and hold on strong companies with good earnings, or consult with advisors on Etfs and actively managed funds. I am up by 418% in 1 year under guidance.
@Javier_Rodri I fired mine 30yrs ago. now I am beginning to see the benefits, how do I get one? Considering your point I won’t want to get into a bubble. Can you recommend any?

FXMILLER18 💯.. that's it
man i'm constantly impressed with how clear your communication of really complex things are.
Another day, another banger by Brandon. Always good to see Hamish in his videos as well.
You did a phenomenal job of explaining this with great graphics to understand the situation! I hope maybe someone in the comments who has this bet could say how much coverage on the short side they have and how much it's costing them? With SIRI at a greater than 20% short interest (reached the 30% range for a short period), does this increase the interest rate your paying on your short position? Or how much your short position is costing you?
Ted is said to have a good relationship with the CEO of Liberty Media Greg Maffei, and the Berkshire portfolio now contains lots of small positions in companies under the Liberty 'family'. I would say with a high degree of certainty, that this is a Ted investment.
The activision trade was his as well. Warren doesn’t do arbitrage plays.
Nice work man
The biggest risk for rerail investors with this arbitrage is Berkshire itself. If the marger happens and the price rises as they hope, by selling shares after the merger Berkshire could benefit whilst retail investors lose out. 😅
Not if we sell first 😉
Yep. As soon as Berkshire Hathaway sell, stock price will dump. Retail investors can try their hardest up against the big boys, but a lot will get their fingers burnt.
Those big guys can sell before anybody retails. Can’t sell before those get out
This guy is a google stock expert. Knows nothing. The Siri stock has been force shorted for the last 7 months to make the ARB a wash. Buffets involvement is to keep Siri from short squeezing like it did last year until this merger takes place. Not forgetting Siri share holders have to agree to the terms of this merger. My guess is Siri is on the auction block as it would be a windfall of TAM for any media content player. Like apple or spoitify
Good explanation. Thanks
How does the news that "Liberty Media drops bid to buy rest of Sirius" (yahoo finance) from 14-MAR-2024 impact the conclusions from your video? Thanks for your hard work!
Fantastic video!!
nice insights on BRK thinking process. valuable insights
Great video!
Holding company discounts are normal and they don’t always close the gap 😊
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Sonia Hicks.
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
She is my family's personal Broker and also a personal Broker to many families in the United states, she is a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in the United States.
You trade with Sonia Hicks too? Wow that woman has been a blessing to me and my family.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I was skeptical at first till I decided to try. Its huge returns is awesome. I can't say much
why has the LSXMK:US been falling though?
Maybe it's already closing the gap, just not in the way Buffett needs 😮
High debt and rising rates
Odd, buffet might get pinched this time round
The earnings were down 51,7% compared to previous quarter
@@YouAreAdopted1337 ah makes sense then thanks
What's the valuation of the company compared to the market cap? Does it have a margin of safety in the case the merge doesn't go in the positive price direction that Berkshire may expect?
Good point David!
Thank you for sharing and for all your fantastic videos!
This kind of arbitrage deal was also championed by Joel Greenblatt, and it is nicely described in his book titled "You Can Be a Stock Market Genius"
Great video bro
interesting satelites you have there
I thought I you already posted that video a few days ago.
You're not mentioning the Exchange Ratio to be approximately 8.4 shares in New SiriusXM for each share of LSXM held.
Looka as bad as the bet on Paramount. Surely not Buffet who bets on Media companys merging.
Paramount still could get bought out for a premium
Heioo! Why not B type shares? Would be cool if you could leave a link of an easy way to buy (copy the strategy) with "just for fun money" (money we are willing to loose given, in my case anyway, our lack of actual knowledge aside from this video) Congrats on the channel as always
But whenever those mergers/acqusitions/split/ etc happen, they also change the price and share counts so you can’t make money just for that corporate action.
the gap is not 25% as the ratio will be 8.4 Siri for each1 LSXMK, so just shy of 9%
Wish I could afford your Introduction to Stock Analysis lesson. Seems a bit too expensive :(
One of the most confusing arbitrage trades for a beginner. Basically they are betting that once the merger is complete, the stock will trade anywhere from $35 to potentially $40.
Just invest in tesla's new innovation shares, they're relatively cheap and are sure to yield long-term profits
Id be betting against anything tesla, and elon musk will not be the saviour off humanity, there will come a day when the earth is inhabitable no doubht and elon musk will not stop that @Christineperkins-uw8ow
Can i ask for the ticker symbol? Everytime i search for it, i can only find tsla or tsly@@Christineperkins-uw8ow
Barrons article said buffet may actually lose money on the deal. I didnt read article, dont have subscription. But i know if i tried something like this, i would lose money
So nothing bad will happen to my Siri investments right ? After the merger I will still have shares or will it disappear?
Certainly. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) are popular for long-term investments due to their diversified nature. ETFs offer exposure to a wide range of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities, which can help reduce risk. Some top choices for long-term investing include broad market index ETFs, sector-specific ETFs, and bond ETFs, as they provide potential for growth and income over an extended period while minimizing the risk associated with individual stocks.
imagine if after the merger the price of the two is less than both right now ... based on debt and just poor business. Doesn't look like very attractive situation to be honest.
Very good chance that happens
Sirius XM as a whole ids crap, who uses it honestly??
So why would Siri share holders approve this merger…,it’s not automatic
If he bought that much why share price gone down alot
I ❤️ Warren Buffet
I think he’s using liberty to get a good deal on Sirius and gonna hodl
Very interesting but makes me nervous. I think you need a lot of experience to see how these things work out.
10:00 hoping is not a strategy. Don’t you think he knows something else?
LSXM group opened gapping higher then shit the bed.
I believe the term is gap and crap.
You are definitely having an influence on retail investors mate.
With great power.....
New Money r u Participating in this stock currently?
Are you sure he just said that
Best thing anyone can do with this info is to make sure they profit greatly from the Stock market but then again it isn’t that easy. Could anyone drop pointer to help out
I feel the trading market is constantly evolving with new features, trading opportunities, financial swings with sudden surprises around every corner. The best thing is to stay in shape and don’t let anything catch you on the wrong foot
With the current market trend My advice to anyone starting out in the market is to seek guidance as its the best way to build long term wealth while managing your risk and emotions with the passive investing strategy.
Interesting, I’ve actually been looking into advisors lately, the news I've been seeing in the market hasn't been so encouraging honestly. If you don't mind me asking who's the person guiding you?
Well ‘Wendy Birkett” is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You'd find necessary website to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
thanks for putting this out, it has truly rekindled the fire to my goal...
Berkshire Hathaway bought Activision-Blizzard long before buyout talks. In fact they reduced their position after the buyout possibility was made public.
That is straight up factually incorrect lmfao
@@iMightyElephant Look it up if you want. F13 filings aren't secret.
@@franklinr498 bruh he famously started buying after the offer was made and specified that it was purely an arbitrage play
@@franklinr498 he reduced his position after the ftc lost in court and the price jumped to a dollar or 2 below the acquisition price
From my observation and historical market pattern, there might be a bit of turbulence in the market coming up, but here's the deal: Trying to guess what's going to happen next is less important than spreading your bets when trading and thinking long term. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
It was quite challenging to understand the different trends on my own until i found out about Wilburn. Trading made easy.
When it comes to investing, we want our money to grow with the highest rates of return, and the lowest risk possible. While there are no shortcuts to getting rich, but there are smart ways to go about it.
Hows sky and space going?
the title and thumbnail tell you to skip this
well, now the c shares are at 25usd when warren bought at 29, so not sure where the logic is in this trade when the exact opposite happened
Berkshire had bought 40,243,058 shares of $SIRI as well! How he is shorting them?!?
I suggest buying the new tesla innovation shares at this point as they are relatively cheap and are sure to yield dividends long-term
Because he was brought in to hold shares to avoid another short squeeze. It’s a favor to malone
Very informative video. I actually didn't realise Xirius XM owned F1
They can have that, they have money I don’t!
Currently I'm just being smart and frugal with my money, I'm in the green 47% over the last 23 months and l've accumulated over $70K in pure profits from DCA’ing into stocks, ETFs, dividends and futures. However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait.
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
Is there any chance you could recommend who you work with? I've wanted to make this switch for a very long time now, but I've been very hesitant about. I'll appreciate any recommendation.
She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran a Google search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.
Haven't watched the video yet, but have Warren played a key role in buying that stock? I know he's letting the younger generation of BRK have a prominet role now.
Dataroma shows he bought $220m of SIRI stock. Why if he is buying the other versions ???
If the merge doesn’t go through, Buffet can buy the entire company and make that happen 😂😂
may be buffet knew of moto gp deal
I think there’s more employees at Birkshire than just Warren Buffet
And none of them is named "Buffet". Never heard of "Birkshire" either.
They have a lot of money sitting on the side lines and that is losing money... soo maybe risky....
Now watch everyone run and buy them lol
Me holding sirius xm holdings shares 😮
This is a window to get as much of the latest tesla innovation shares as possible considering the dip
🤔
A man who loves playing with money is so yesterday.
Is it too late to make the same bet. Has the merger already taken place?
How would that work with SIRI trading at $3.18? Do they just throw that out and start from scratch on the evaluation? Seems like buying $3.18 stock vs $26/$29 shares would be the smart play. Would love to get this answered

Hamish Hodder released this same content 8 day's ago...not very original?
The arbitrage opportunity is already gone. Evident when you overlay the stock prices of both stocks since last year.
could not help notice that this video was plagiarized
🤔l might clone this move, looks like heads l win 20% tails l don't lose much.
when is the merger finalized?
Interesting twist - only Malone could have made these twist. Charlie Munger said before he died that he didn’t like Malone and didn’t want to invest with him… clearly Buffet doesn’t agree.
But isn't Warren playing both sides of the proposed merger since he has tripled his holding of SIRI recently? I guess he thinks SIRI stock will benefit too. He leaves no stone unturned in extracting value from arbitrage situations doesn't he?
Nothing about that was made sneaky… 🙄
I suggest you offset your real estate and get into stocks, A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying, cash isn’t king at all in this time!
